Cutie:
I do think that you have to know what you are doing when you cycle..and this would not be a plan for anyone who is not familiar with lowcarbing. And, of course, you can't do 500 calories one week and 1500 calories the next week..It's a recipe for disaster for many folks, methinks. Last edited by CarolynF : 09-21-2007 at 08:51 PM. |

I think Kimmer's new tolerance for "cycling", which she would have called cheating, in the past is more proof of her current desperation to keep this Kimtanic afloat.
Those of us who knew or thought we knew her in her "glory days" at LCF know she would NEVER condone a plan that involved cycling like this. Kimmer was one of the staunchest believers that cheating was "the kiss of death" and even one bite could lead you astray and of course she had the will power to avoid those foods so why don't you? This new cycling plan combines the worst of all dieting plans! One of the best benefits of a low-carb diet is getting into ketosis and experiencing appetite reductions (not snatt), energy, loss of bloat, etc. Well with this new disaster you would barely be getting past the carb withdrawl and getting into ketosis before going right back off again if you went to a Weight Watchers type thing. How ridiculous!! Kimmer is so desperate now that she is forced to compromise her plan completely, both to cover her butt legally, and to get others like Tippy to work for her. Before today I wouldn't have thought it possible to lose even more respect for Kimmer, but again she has sunk to an all new low, as have the people aiding and abetting her fraud. If Kimkins is the "miracle diet" everyone over there is saying, why is nobody actually doing it? If it is so healthy and you have no appetite and you're losing so much weight so easily, why need to cycle with Atkins? And calling this a maintenance plan is a joke, this is not maintaining. Bulimics have a great maintenance plan too, Kimkinites, it is called puking up your food so you don't get fat again.

Yes, I am hooked. Give me the sugar-free Kool Aid or Jello Shot. I am a Ducker.
<----And *someone's* goose is cooked. The new enthusiasm for the cycling plans cracks me up! Come on, Hidey! You have supposedly maintained solely on Kimkins. Can't wait to see that plan. ![]() Off-topic, but not maybe so much. Due to illness, I have been on pretty much a liquid diet for the last two weeks. I was getting maybe 700 calories on my high days, and I felt like road kill. I was tired, pretty SNATT-y, and had no energy whatsoever. I thought to myself a couple of days ago "If this is what Kimkins feels like, they can keep their freeze-dried whackaloon ideas". I feel much better today, after finally being able to eat real food for the last two days. Yippee!! ![]() |

Abbymommy - For all of us who were around when she was here - that is so true! She is getting desperate and is hoping TT will get her out of this. I think it is way too late now! She is a shipwreck and thinks she can stay afloat.
No way - she is SUNK!! Just wanted to add it is so nice to see when you have been right about someone from day one of reading her posts years ago. I thought I was in a small minority and now all kinds of people are saying they always thought so too. I love all these new "photos" tonight. I have been laughing until I am almost crying! I have got to get a life - I can't stay away from this thread. Cheryl - Hope your mom is feeling way better! ![]()

Another problem with Heidi's new cycling program is that it could be easy for people to use it as a binge/restrict cycle. That doesn't exactly solve the problem of the plan encouraging eating disordered behavior.
I think someone knowledgeable about LC dieting can do a healthy cycling plan as Cutie has shown. But I worry for the newbies that are going to try this. |

All the cycling in the world doesn't make Kimmer 118 pounds for the last six years, as touted on her homepage.
Maybe enough backpedaling would count as exercise. |

NO ONE has commented on my avatar's successful weight loss. I am the skinny duck, and for no reason whatsoever I posted my obese, dishonest business partner's picture as my "Before."
Thanks, Swimmer |

heck, never mind the "glory days" here...she wouldn't have her name on a plan like this even last month! she really is desperate for a new angle that will bring in more money. in fact, she likely doesn't even really have a plan mapped out yet. she's prolly waiting for people here to post something along the lines of "the only way a cycling plan like this would work would be if..." and then she'll steal that idea and call it her own. ![]() (so y'all don't give her any good ideas! ) |

My curiosity about the name "Othila" was piqued -- "...Othila indicates wealth as it relates to possessions. The wealth of Othila is usually large, not easily used-real estate, stocks and bonds, trusts...Othila can also indicate...assistance from established firms or organizations, established foundations, or even the government..." (from bewitchingways.com) Here's a kicker-- Pronunciation: Oh-thee-law [can't touch me?] Molly |
