I think Kimmer thought she could bully Dottie into yanking this thread. She is so used to manipulating people.

Dottie, I remember either seeing a pic of you or someone describing you a long time ago on a thread here on LCF. I used to read all your posts because you had good things to share and so many wonderful recipe ideas. I always pictured you as a short little curly haired woman with an apron and a smile. I was either told or saw a picture of you and was shocked to find out you were tall, thin with long dark hair! That has always stuck with me.

Sorry for the threadjack. Let us continue "quacking up"!

Come’ on does having some "fun" really seem that off topic when we are joking about the lies, paranoia and fantasy world of Kimmer?
The thread does have moments of downtime as new findings are brought to light. But conversation about "silly" things can and have brought up points that maybe someone didn't realize were important at the time or they had not made the connection to the case, so by talking about them someone else made the connection. So in that respect the jovial communication can lead to more. Not to mention the healing aspect of it all.
I still think the thread has a great value. If I am short on time or only want the facts I do as others have said which is hit the main blogs or I use the scroll bar and skim. Not everything is going to be of important facts because this is a thread on Fascination not a journal article on the dangers of vLCD.
So comeback and share your best Kimmer joke.

I actually read the post of controlldcarb as being one of attempting to back off and make light of the fact that someone had just been very to the point in telling everyone to stop kidding around. I didn't at all feel CC was rude or belittling of the OP. I know I have and would say the same thing to a friend, family member or anyone face to face that just blew off some steam or if I wasn't sure why they were so upset over something that wasn't that important. It would not be a personal attack on them but more a way of saying "OK, I hear that you are upset and that is ok, but I don't necessary understand where it is coming from."

I totally agree. I've lurked on this site for several years but had never posted until recently. A few days ago I changed my email addy and somehow my registration started all over again as Sept 2007, yet I have an email (my old email address) from the admins dated 03/03/2006 confirming my name as boobookity when I forgot my password (again) and they mailed it to me. So, because of this mix up, I am not able to go to the playground (I'm aware I need more postings) even though I have been a member for several years.
If this thread moves there I won't even be able to read the posts. Sorry about the whining.
