i'm just now getting caught up...wow, you guys are ever so chatty!
ok, about this now infamous tippy/pooti situation from last summer... i haven't seen the kk thread in question since last year until i just saw what someone just posted here a little bit ago with a name "xxx" out. i think that might be me? last year, some people got really worked up about an argument thread pooti and i got into here in the ML. and maybe tippy said she was gonna track pooti down and bug her "in my honor" or something to that effect? i'm fuzzy on the details without having seen the whole thread. but, i DO remember her doing something to purposely antagonize pooti with some kind of recipe and i admit, since i was not at all a pooti fan at that time, i'm sure i was one of the ones that laughed about it and thought it was funny. i'm not very proud of doing that...frankly, i'm not proud of many things i said or did during that emotional time. ![]() so...while i appreciate that some here may not be disclosing the whole kk thread, because of wanting to protect me...it's ok. i'm a big girl and i'll take my hits for my poor judgment back then in laughing about what tippy did. and given the opportunity, i'd apologize to pooti for having any part of tippy trying to sabotage her. it was wrong that it happened...tippy was wrong...and any of us who encouraged her or affirmed her in any way for doing it were wrong as well. i'm sorry for my part in it. ![]() |

![]() So now keep digging. See what you find. Read all that you can. Look at what's out there. There's plenty of information to be had on this whole thing. Even take away half of what you see out there (figuring in you're feelings that it may not be true) and you still have a ton of information to show you what is truly going on. Weigh that with what is happening at kimkins, the hiding of information, the bannings, the changes in plans, the disappearing posts, etc. Now, put all that together and see how you feel about it all. That's really all you can do unless something personally happens to you to change your mind. I think you'll get a feel for who is telling the truth and who isn't. I know it's not an easy thing to do but you owe it to yourself to dig deeper and keep an open mind while you do. ![]()

I am not sure if this has been posted before, although I would bet so and it feels familiar--just not on THIS thread section so it bears repeating and since the thread is still in existence:
from Kimmer bold is mine: Re:How about a weight loss challenge to benefit Kimmer's foster kids? 1 Year, 3 Months ago You know, it's hard to type with tears in your eyes. How unbelievably generous you guys are! I wasn't going to say anything to anybody when the site started. It's so tacky to talk about money, but I'm not above "tacky-osity" so ... For many years at LCF people asked me about starting my own site or writing a book, but I have a huge problem with making money. It's not the making money, per se, because I insist on top dollar when I'm working at a job. If I find out somebody else is making 10 cents an hour more than me for the same job, the whole office is going to hear about it! I've always been weird about money. I almost have an aversion to it. This would explain why I'm not rich. In my experience, I've seen people willing to do extreme or illegal things for money (cousin is a prostitute) and people who think cash buys anything. What even comes to mind are men who invite me to dinner and expect me to sleep with them because they bought me the #2 special at El Tio Pepe. Now, I don't know what the going rate is for hookers, but I'm guessing it's more than $8.99 plus tax and tip. My problem is accepting something in return for helping people. I've always been that way. I've raised my sons with the same belief ... you don't take money for doing the right thing. I volunteer with poor people in a local homeless shelter. I write & type their resumes, practice interviews and job applications and wrangle interview clothes to help get them on their feet. I babysit their kids for free. I've even bought monthly bus passes for those who do get a job. I'm a volunteer for the literacy program at the library and teach immigrants to read and write. But I'm OK with all of that because I don't take money for doing it. What is it with me and money? As you all know I'm a foster mom. I only take teenage boys, usually 15-18, which is close my own son, 17. They would love for me to take teenage girls, but my heart isn't strong enough for that stress, LOL ... and I'd need a Rottweiler standing guard outside the girls' room at night! The boys have to leave when they're 18. Imagine being a typical 18 year old, making minimum wage at Taco Bell (part time yet!) and having to come up with the stuff you need when you're starting out. I live in a suburb of Los Angeles and there's a huge foster population (sometimes it's the kid, but usually it's the parent that has the problem). There are "some" county funds, but not enough for every kid. A few kids come to me just months before they're forced to emancipate. If you can imagine how slow government works, that's barely enough time to process the paperwork that they're in the system, never mind getting $$ together for them to leave. I couldn't take money from this site or the book for myself. I just couldn't, it's my weird thing. But, if it would let me help my boys with move-in expenses for an apartment, get the electricity turned on, buy a small microwave, a bus pass or a set of towels. Now that's appealing. So, apparently I don't have a problem making money from helping people if I use the money to help others. Bless you all. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sick.

I'm sorry you feel that way. Closing your mind is allowing someone else to control what you believe. Choose for yourself, even if you don't like what you find along the way. JMO

It's still there, now? I have already been accused of reporting to Kimmer and having it deleted, by several of your most gung-ho posters. Jump the gun much guys? Some of you folks are your own worst enemy's. This kind of behaviour won't further your cause. And now, its my turn to wait for an apology.

My exact quote was "Guess Yalnats gets a mission accomplished sticker from Kimmer today?" Bolded "guess" was speculative, now wasn't it? Certainly not an accusation and certainly not worthy of apology.....as I said also, you have a history on this thread (it's parts) and I have a long memory! Heather from another board wrote to Atkins about the new plan (which mentions Atkins). This is what they wrote back:
"Thank you for your inquiry. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention, Kimkins is not affiliated with Atkins. We are aware of the situation and have begun the process of rectifying the problem." Let's hope "rectify" means sue. |

![]() ![]() (well, come to think of it, maybe not the FIRST...but one of the firsts! lol )as for tippy...last summer was my first time to really get to know her and what all she said about antagonizing pooti was consistent with the gossip she was spreading about the lcf admins at the pig roast and some other banta babe gossip, so...as far as i knew her, she was always a gossipy girl. ![]() then after last summer, she kind of dropped out of kk and i didn't see anything from her again until this past summer over here. she seemed nice here in the other kk forum threads. but now...i'm seeing the "tippy from last summer" again...twisting things around to suit some kind of agenda. i don't know what to think of her anymore ![]() |

well, i will add that while i don't know what to think of her anymore, overall... i AM greatly irritated that she is in essence calling the people whose stories are posted on the "kimkins survivors" blog, liars. i'm very clear on what i think about THAT! ![]() |
