Thank you for the information. I am assuming (I know that is dangerous) that I can then attach the file in an email. "Cause when I tried to email a particular post from another site (if you know what I mean) I got a scary fatal error message.

Judging from some of the posts at Jimmy's, I think you've got a point as well.

However, I don't think most of them are taking it that far, and there's a lot of encouraging to get them to up their fats.

I feel for the people will do what I did, and that's go from almost no fat for a while to a couple nice fried eggs (yolk included) in butter followed by maybe a mug of coffee with some heavy cream.

Can you say OOOWWWWIIIEEEEEE! It wasn't fun, and given my recent experience with acute pancreatitis, was also terrifying.

Please know that you are welcomed here.......just be honest and above board.....I know it is hard to trust after the "Kimkins" experiment, but there are a lot of "real" people to look up to on these forums. It is easy to spot someone like Kimmer who only wants attention, and it is also easy to spot an honest person truthfully losing weight successfully. I seem to remember you saying that you are young and in your 20's. Slow down, take a deep breath, go to the bookstore, sit for a few hours and read up on legitimate low carb diets. Buy a book that makes sense and read it and do research. This is not a race to loose 50 lbs in a week, it is about learning how to eat for life and be balanced. Stick around at LCF, read about the different LC plans, there are tons of them....one will fit you and work. You also have to remember that "low carb" is really anything under net 100 carbs a day.......that is a lot of good eating between those 100 net carbs, a lot of work.....yes, but healthy and worth it. A lot of us with ruined thyroids cannot eat below 35 net carbs a day and still lose. I totally enjoy what I eat.......not extreme, but good, and I welcome a 4 lb loss monthly.

You can do this sweetie, no one hates you.....you are lost and we can find you.....you can be safe at LCF...

Well said. Miss you Juniper! You are a true sweetie.

Wow..I just caught up on yesterday's posts..The FACT that Kimmer hasn't come forward to her "clients", paid members and apologized for lying about her weight, etc. when the facts are clearly right in front of everyone's noses says alot about her lack of integrity.

I think she thinks people will just sweep that lie under the rug and totally ignore it. SHE is the one who thinks her clients are stupid and doesn't respect them at all. But, at least we can say she has been "consistent" with the way she has treated EVERYONE..
even her family members. She is an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY SCAMMER. She treats everyone the same.

Noone makes fun of fat people to make fun of fat people on this board..We are all at different places in our weight losses. But, Kimmer has left herself WIDE open to criticism with her lies and deceit.

I'm sure you guys have moved past this topic but I still wanted to post.

Is it possible to have conflicting feelings at the same exact time? That's me.
1) Feel bad and guilty- and NEVER saying anyone else needs to feel guilty- for laughin my azz off at the fat pix-- and just feeling sad at the ENTIRE situation
2) Feel glad that her triflingness is exposed and her biggest supporters have turned against her and that folk are vindicated

and I feel comfy admitting all of it on this thread, cuz on these threads that's all people have done- VENTED! Letting it out! And that's what I'm doing with no shame just like the next person.

No, lot's of people are on the fence like you are. The important thing for us, is to not judge or ridicule others who are sure about their feelings.
I'm fat like Heidi and I'm not offended.
It is incredulous that this very obese woman verbally abused so many people and I see most of the comments are directed at that, not at fat people in general.

I think it's possible because I feel conflicted too. I've definitely gotten a good laugh and I needed it. I feel bad too, though. Still, I don't feel I have a right to condone or condemn how anyone else is dealing with their feelings over this. Everyone needs what they need. I'm dealing with feelings of anger, frustration, fear, shame, and embarrassment. I'm a little lost food plan wise as my main goal at the moment is to get far away from this WOE and the mindset that went along with it and stay on a healthy path.

No, I don't feel bad at all for laughing at her pics or making snide remarks about her. Why? Because she is, was, and always will be a lying, mean, disgusting excuse for a human being. In general, no I do NOT laugh at people who are overweight, but not many people go around portraying themselves as a completely different person. That is why I think it's funny. After all her preaching about "No Excuses, lower your cals, you're eating too much fat, you are too weak to ever lose weight!", etc. Then we find out she's no 118, she's really 118 x 3. Over the years she has been way crueler and nastier to a lot of other people than I could ever be, even before she had her own site. I don't even beleive anything about her hair loss disorder either, she probably shaves her own head to gain sympathy from people or is running some kind of scam. I know that sounds horrible, but I would put absolutely nothing past the crazy *****.

Yeah, while these pictures are funny, it is getting to the point that others might think we are an unkind bunch of people....and we are not....to any KK survivors, the humor in this thread is just having some fun, but it is pushing the line as far as I'm concerned becuase it doesn't present the image that we want to. This needs to be a welcoming place for people who are hurting right now...and I know a lot of us feel very vindicated about all of this but really, don't push the envelope to far or the admins here are going to have to clean up a mess and we might lose the openess to talk about all of this here.....

I have been reading this thread, #1 and #2 from the beginning. I try to look at things fairly, there have been things on this side of the 'good guys' that haven't been fair in my opinion, and I speak up when I feel that way. I haven't posted on this thread yet, because it is mostly filled up with filler that is way off-topic. I dont feel sorry for people making fun of kimmer, I feel sorry for the people that come here looking for the truth and answers and find a thread full of cartoons and jokes, and not giving much advice about what to do with their life and metabolism, or how to find out more information.

It has been very difficult and (in my opinion) annoying trying to wade through all of it to find the posts that have any meaning at all.

Just my $.02. Feel free to carry on as you wish.

There are threads containing advice for those who seek it...whenever someone comes to the fascination thread and asks, they are directed to them, or given advice on the spot. I agree though, that #3 hasn't had much in the way of meaningfulness goin on...but most everything has been hashed out on threads #1 and #2, and everyone is just waiting for new info.

Shelby, there are other threads which deal with the nuts and bolts of restarting metabolisms, transitioning to other diet plans, and giving support to fellow ex-KK-ites. From what I've seen, newbie post-KK folk make their first appearance in this thread. They are welcomed with open arms and then referred to the appropriate post-KK threads.

This particular thread, however, deals with the *fascination* aspect - the scams/juicy and/or gory details as they unfold and so on. Not all our posts have "meaning" to the casual observer - many of them are venting or support for this gang, as well as community-building, which is a big part of any thriving Web group. (Hey, we gotta be ducks because we have WEB feet!)

This isn't really a place for advice. It is a place to uncover the truth. It has been said before, that if someone is looking for advice or info on healthy way of eating to look at other threads or start a new thread. Someone mentioned a support thread they may start, for these people who need it. The jokes have arised, mainly, because no new info is out. It is kind of fun to make light of such a horrible situation. No one is making fun of fat people. This is a diet site, that would be just stupid. We are here because we all need to or have had to in the past lose weight.

But I respect your views, just wanted to give my 2 cents worth, because I have been coming here since thread #1, from the beginning.
Especially if someone comes here looking for support, I want them to know there are places on this forum to go to.

Forgive me if this has been covered before, but how can the Kimkins website feature Christin's and Deni's pictures and stories if they have denounced the diet? Isn't this false advertising?

christin and deni signed "model releases" giving kimmer the rights to use their pictures for advertising purposes.

legally, christin and deni's only recourse would be to look into seeing if the releases could be invalidated based on them being signed under false pretenses.
