This " meanness" is not about Kimmer, it's about ourselves. She has been proven to be mentally ill, alcoholic, and manipulative. Why should we stoop to her level? I'm sure you can find all sorts of pent up anger and vindictive satisfaction in the past threads to act as a catharsis and finally speak (have spoken) your mind. I'm not feeling in the least bit sorry (well, maybe just a tad) for Heidi, but I am for myself and every other fat person who has been wounded by ridicule over his/her weight.

I understand where you're coming from, and in truth, I chuckled when I saw that picture. Then I felt guilty for my chuckles. But to anyone first seeing that photo, it's not the lie but the fat behind that socks you in the kisser. I've actually thought and said a few things about Heidi that I KNOW I would be ashamed of in another instance. And it wasn't just your photo, but most of them that demeaned her that made me speak out. Demeaning others demeans ourselves. At least, that's how I feel about it.

She deserves everything that is said or printed about her and yes, I know it was mean but it was also cathartic.

I will say it again....... this IS ,IS about KIMMER !!!

We have to be able to look at ourselves and say "we want to lose weight.... AND WE DO IT !!!!!!

Yes, she is over weight.... but why are we being "silenced" with our opinion and why can't we say anything negative? This is starting to sound like her board where we are only allowed to say "certain" things.

BRAVO!!! This is an excellent statement! How dare she treat people the way she did!? She has opened herself up to be a "public" figure. People aren't making "fat" jokes about people who are fat here, they are finding humor in Kimmer statements that are coming out as truths. That is what makes them humorous not that they are jokes about some poor overweight person.

This thread get so serious at times that the humor that is brought to us by some very talented/creative people breaks the tension.

I say keep the creativity coming.

The ONLY thing to be ashamed of is if you (generic you) are holding court at a weight loss forum, handing out advice and snarks interchangeably when you yourself have not been able to achieve success, but instead LIE about having done it. I hope there aren't any more people like that here, but if there are, then they deserve to feel bad. Very bad.

Put your head up high...... put your shoulders back and look in the mirror.
Tell yourself that "YOU LOVE WHO YOU ARE, EVEN IF ITS ONLY A POUND A WEEK / MONTH )

I don't fault you for your feelings. Not one bit. I feel the same way. It's just that in the process of bringing her down, do we want to become like her.

I don't think the humorous postings are being like Kimmer in any way shape or form. Did she ever say the nasty things she said to people with a smile on her face? They weren't creative, funny or entertaining - they were downright rude and nasty.

What about people with body shapes similar to Kimmer's who see nasty comments aimed at her because of what she looks like?

With all due respect to heavier people, I think they are taking the Hidey comics/jokes way to personal. It is not about being fat it's the juxtaposition of her comments and the way she looks. I'm sorry, but even without the creative cartoons, in light of what has developed here, her statements are pretty hilarious! How many times have you sat here and read the thread and there is some statement that Hidey has made that you just shake your head, spit your beverage all over your computer and think, you have got to be joking!!!The visuals are an added bonus!
