Okay Friends,
I read SL “legal advice” to K at the TRUTH and K’s response to SL including informing SL about receiving a question from the Woman’s World Rag concerning laxative abuse. TRUTH said the PMs were done earlier this month (?) If that is ALL Woman’s World questioned K about and accepted her answer they don’t intend to do anything to retract or correct the KK article. I assume they are worried about potential lawsuits from people made ill due to their endorsement of KK and just hope no one will realize the part they have played in hurting women who trust their endorsements. Putting Christin on the cover WAS AN ENDORSEMENT!

The Editor of WW needs to be directed to Christin’s blog video. God Bless Christin for her courage!

They also need to be called on the carpet for not verifying the weight loss claims of the KK founder before going to print. If you goolge DEARWW@AOL.com you will see a whole host of their sins in writing articles that not only dole out false information but dangerous as well.

It’s time to make them responsible for their role in this horror. I know letters have already been written but I don't think the letters, phone calls and/or emails should stop.

To write an opinion piece on Woman’s World magazine: Compare Prices and Read Reviews on Woman's World Magazine at Epinions.com

To email the Editor of Woman’s World: DEARWW@AOL.COM

To write to Woman’s World:
Woman's World, 270 Sylvan Ave., Englewood Clifts NJ 07632

To call Woman’s World: (201)569-0006, ext. 220

It would also be good to provide the below link so they can see how their bad judgment in endorsing KK is being used to this day.
Kimkins - Kimkins Diet on the Cover of Woman's World Magazine!

I hope non of the links violate any posting policies here.

While, I do agree that WW is guilty of not running out there and taking a picture of Kimmer, which would KILL the article for sure and her claims of losing weight, the BUCK STOPS at Heidi Diaz and friends. She is the one who will go down for this and whomever she drags with her. I think they are more careful because one gal who posted here or somewhere else is going to be featured in the magazine and they insisted they come out and take her picture..I wonder why??????????????????????????

It really bothered me that Woman's World Magazine accepted Kimmer's excuse to not appear in person. This was really bad on their part that they didn't check her out. If they had, I don't think the Heidi would have been able to perpetuate her fraud the way she was when WW expanded her audience 10x.

Epinions has top ratings for WW.

another place to put a rating is on Amazon. WW has top rating there too. don't know why... but they do.

This will probably get WW's attention more than emails...

Ducks Unite

Alot of you have really put in some time and effort to bring down the Kimpire and prevent more people being hurt, emotionally or physically.

imho, the way to stop is the way is really got off the launch pad and that is with WW's article. Hidey can slip away to a hidey hole offshore but WW really has more to risk here and some responsibility.

Christin - have you contacted WW? Your video is making an impact at KK's - have it make an impact at WW.

This is great start...ducks unite and contact WW.

Let me repeat: Tippy came up with cycling kimkins and Atkins because she stalled on BOTH diets after doing them for a while. so.. if stalling is the criteria for failure, then both Atkins and Kimkins are failures.

I was only on it for a few months, but I started it after I had reached goal (115). I wanted to lose a few more pounds. I ended up weighing in near the bottom of "normal weight" per the BMI chart, but my frame is between medium and large, so I think I was at the absolute bottom at 104 lbs.

I experienced the loss of ovulation, severe panic and anxiety attacks, rapid heartbeat and arrhythmia. I attributed this all to stress since my personal life was indeed very stressful.

But the worst part was the incredibly painful and scary chest pain. Gallbladder problems were ruled out. I began to have reflux 24/7. I was worried I had esophageal cancer. The mysterious pain was so unnerving that I had crying spells and couldnt enjoy being model-thin. Finally it became evident that I was having terrible esophageal spasms. I also ended up attributing this to stress, and some extended release anti-spasmodic medicine helped a great deal.

It wasn't until I found out about Heidi's lies that I questioned her program. In the course of one weekend reading the first Fascination thread, I realized that I was anorexic while doing Kimkins and had no idea.

And now I wonder if my body's freaking out due to stress was also linked with or was directly caused by my starvation menus. I never told my primary care doctor how few calories I was eating (at the low end of my BMI!). I didn't tell my GI doctor either. I'll never know if it was stress or an eating disorder that caused my health problems.

There's one thing I do know. I was starving and thought I was in safe territory because I believed I had excess body fat, and Kimmer had me convinced that eating little to nothing was dandy if there was excess body fat present. I am actually grateful to be several pounds above goal right now. I'm better off now than I was at 104...struggling to find suits for job interviews because the size 2 skirts slid off of my hips...
I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm glad that you sent your story to Kimkins Survivors, though. Speaking of esophageal spasms, I wonder if that's like the pain I was feeling for a while that I thought was gallbladder? My doctor had to double my Nexium for a while it was so bad.

I'm glad you're doing better now.

That is exaclty how weight loss tips.com got the article they had posted. It has since been revised with updates from Christin.

It seems that WW entertains all articles...this I found on a website dedicated to helping writers publish articles.

They pay $50 for short stories and anecdotes and $25 for tips.
The Love & Laughter section pays $100 for each pet photo and $50 for each "Kids say" and "Was my face red!" picture they use.

Share your story: wwfeatures@bauerpublishing.com
They pay $250 if they publish your full-length feature story.

ETA Kate's info: Fiction editor is Johnene Granger - They pay $500 for the Solve It Mysteries and $1000 for the 800 word romances.

Woman's World will consider unsolicited queries, articles, photos, etc. that are sent to:

Just so you all know we have one admin hat that we have to share so I am grabbing it from Dottie because I want to address a few things... I know Dottie reminded you all that this is a weightloss support site but still we have people posting things that are upsetting others here. Remember...

We have people of all shapes and sizes here.. Some are just starting their weightloss journey... some are in the middle... and some are at goal. Please don't forget that it hurts to see others making fun of someones appearance. Also... I personally know someone that has problems with their teeth and are trying to get them fixed.... and I am sure there are others. This is a big site. We cannot forget that it is hurtful to alot of people when they see someone post a picture of someone elses head on a heavy person. They see people making fun of them and think well.... if they are making fun of that person what do they think of me? Alot of people are self conscious about the way they look so are very sensitive when they see some of what has been posted. I have had people PM me in tears saying they are upset and hurt by others making fun of people for their looks... even asking me why is it allowed? Well... its not allowed and you all do know this. I realize that emotions are running high over the kimkins issues but please do not post pictures or distort images in photoshop to make fun of her or anyone else. Nobody deserves that. And like I said... people are getting very hurt by it. I am sure you all would hate it if someone left this site because they are offended. Remember this is a supportive site so before you post making fun... think again... it is hurting alot of peoples feelings. And I know you all wouldn't want to do that.

I found a site that helps promote writers for a fee, teaching them how to pitch their articles, etc...well they have a section where you can see magazines that their members have been published in. Guess what? Clicking on Woman's World they have a list of dates and pictures of the covers where they helped to get the member published through their advice, etc... Guess what? The most recent WW magazine they helped with is the June 12, 2007 issue!

WW didn't go searching for a great diet story, it was sent to them. All fine and good except, they obviously did nothing to validate the truthfulness of the founder of the program they were endorsing or check even on the healthfulness of the plan.

Good information. Did the website that helps people get published affliated with WW?

So, so, WW is about like the pub that had the alien baby stories? Those were not substantiated, I imagine, but you know what you're buying with those. (Didn't that enterprise finally fold?)
