Those who keep supporting KK inspite of the dangers and dishonesty seem to be adopting the old adage, "The ends justify the means." In other words, I'll do whatever it takes and follow whoever gives the advice if it will end in weight loss. Consequences or morality be d-mned.

I'm not trying to cause trouble because I believe in this cause but I have a question...didn't I read somewhere in this thread (or the other one) where someone (think it might have been the ex girlfriend) said that Kimmer's Ex Husband was also a scam artist and she learned it from him? I could be wrong and just misintrepreted something. Jeanessa?

How about a young woman doing the Plan at about 300-600 calories a day having a miscarriage while on the plan???? And an Admin (singinglass) along with a few others just patted her on the hand and said "Oh sorry, well, let's all get back to losing weight".

I'm floored. I'm in tears. Now babies are dying. I can't believe NOT ONE person suggested to this poor girl that she increase her nutrients or calories. And worse yet, she's gonna try to conceive again--on Kimkins.

I know for a fact that Weight Watchers doesn't allow pregnant women to attend meetings (which is their expectation for RL members). Even though their diet is certainly higher in calories than KK, they are taking the safe route. For this, I commend them.

OTOH, I am completely appaled at the reaction of the much-touted KK community, especially the admins. My ex-MIL, who's British, thought a nice cuppa tea was the solution for many of life's problems - I hardly think KK Koolaid has the same curative powers. No frowning smilies, because I am afraid that would trivialize the degree of outrage and anger I am feeling at this point. What's next? Trotting out pics of babies born in Auschwitz as "proof" that this is a feasible WOE and can nourish a fetus?

Yeah, well weight loss won't make you a decent person. And being thin won't make you pretty if you're wretched on the inside.

I didn't come across this through the WW article, so I had no way of knowing what the menu was like. Had I know how little you have to eat, I wouldn't have wasted my $60. I googled Kimkins and ran across several threads stating the truth behind all of this.....I was horrified that I had fallen prey to someone without a conscience who could deceive so many people. If she isn't all those things that others are saying, then why hasn't she stepped up and given us proof? I don't want to hear about privacy, etc...if it was my company and I knew I was telling the truth you can bet I would be flooding the internet with proof to save my company. So it leads one to believe that everything is true! If I am wrong, prove it to me!!!! I truely hope and pray that the rest of you open your eyes and realize the truth of the situation. Yes the diet may be working for you, but at what price? Most of us are trying to lose weight so that we may be here for our family, see kids grow up, graduate, marry......if you damage your body now, with this sorry excuse of a diet, who knows what your quality of life may be! Get out now, save yourselves before it is too late!"
