Here are the rules and info on Kimkins Boot Camp taken from Previous thread!
*****Kimkins Bootcamp 6***** This was designed by kimmer. Those of you who are up to the challenge here are the rules and general questions B - Eggs 2-3, with either .5 cup cooked veggies or with 2 oz, ham/lean protein L - Lean protein (4 oz), 2 cups mixed greens, Wishbone Spritzer dressing D - Lean protein (4-6 oz), 2 cups mixed greens, Wishbone Spritzer dressing 2 cups of salad is 1 large handful. If Wishbone Spritzer is not available, a small amount of other 'light' dressing may be used sparingly. Diet drinks with zero or nearly zero carbs and calories are permitted. Low-carb protein shakes (1-4 total carbs each) may be used as meal replacements. Stallone-type low-carb protein 'puddings' (1-4 total carbs) may be used as meal replacements. Sugar-free gelatin is allowed in moderation, no more than 1 cup per day. Those who wish may skip the salads and vegetables. DO NOT add anything extra to make up for it. Take vitamins. The differences between Boot Camp vs. Kimkins or KE are protein limits and required daily cardio. Calories are extremely low. (500'ish) The menu is meant to be simple, boring, no-frills, and FAST. The diet is not exciting, but the results are. So, no fancy add-ins and variations to slow things down --- just the basics. There are no further substitutions in Boot Camp, other than what is listed above. No additions. Only the most motivated and dedicated people can stick with this. This is for those willing and able to just get this done! Boot Camp "PT" Physical Training --- Cardio Exercise Boot Camp requires 30 minutes of cardio-vascular physical exercise daily. This is an extra requirement, not necessary in Kimkins or KE. This is meant to be serious and strenuous to the best of your ability. This is meant to break a sweat! Whether brisk walking, dancing, biking, sports, exercise DVDs, gym workouts, etc., DO IT! Those unable to do 30 minutes at once may break it into smaller (10 - 15 minutes) sessions. Those who wish and are able may double the time to 60 minutes. (Again, broken sessions are OK.) 7 days of exercise yields best fastest results; 6 days is satisfactory; 5 days is the minimum. Boot Camp 'Muster' Roll Call: Reporting for Duty 'Boots' are expected to report in regularly during their time at Boot Camp. 'Boots' may report what they ate, what activity they performed, and for how many minutes. 'Boots' may report periodic weigh-ins. 'Boots' may share struggles, insights, victories, etc., for the morale and welfare of the company. So, buckle down. This is serious. You will get training, direction, and support. You will develop build a sense of personal accomplishment and esprit de corps. BUT, you will not get an "It's OK, don't worry about it ..." here. This is not for everyone. Many will need to 'shape up' with Kimkins or KE before enlisting here. There is no shame in returning to Kimkins or KE at any time.. This is for the few, the determined, the committed! It's not a job - it's an adventure! Be all that you can be! Ooh-rah! "Hup, two, three, four --- Let those pounds hit the floor! Five, six, seven, eight ---We're the crew that's losing weight!" These are the most Frequently Asked Questions about Kimkins Boot Camp. We will post more as we collect them. Q. I just joined the site! Is this where I start? A. While you may start here, it is not generally recommended. Boot Camp is the most rigorous level offered, and many beginners find it quite difficult at first. Most people do far better to begin with the other plans for at least 2 weeks. (The other plans being Kimmer's Experiment [K/E] and Kimkins). This will allow you to 'de-carb', get conditioned to deep ketosis, experience reduced appetite, and learn what you need to be successful. Q. Then, at what stage of the plans do we do Boot Camp? A. Boot Camp is an option, not an official 'stage' of the plans. It is for those who are highly motivated and disciplined to get the fastest losses possible from an eating and exercise plan. Members may do Boot Camp any time they wish, whether to try it out, to break a 'stall', to speed things up, or to reach goal. Q. How long can we do Boot Camp? A. Members may do Boot Camp for any length of time, whether for a couple of weeks or for longer term. You may do Boot Camp all the way to goal, if you wish. Q. What if we don't want the veggies? Can we still do K/E Boot Camp? A. This could easily be done as K/E just by choosing the 2 oz. meat vs. veggies for breakfast, and skipping the salads at the later meals. No problem! But DO NOT add extra anything to make up for it. Be sure to take a good multi-vitamin/mineral supplement. Q. For breakfast, can we have the eggs with the veggies plus the protein, or do you have the eggs, with either the veggies or the protein? A. The breakfast guidelines mean 2 or 3 eggs, with either 1/2 c. of veggies from the cooked veggie list of allowed foods OR with 2 oz. of lean meat, like Canadian bacon or lean ham. So, eggs with veggies or eggs with ham. (And, if anyone wants to ask, "How about 2-3 eggs with 1/4 c. cooked veggies and 1 oz. ham?", that would work, as long as someone actually measures, and doesn't estimate and round up.) Q. Are Crystal Light and diet sodas still permissable? A. Yes, Crystal Light and diet drinks are perfectly fine. Q. Is the lean protein weight before or after cooking? A. Before Q. I'm assuming the allowed condiments are still ok? A. If you mean mustard, hot sauce, and other low-carb, low-cal seasonings and condiments, then, YES, those are allowed. If you mean higher-carb or higher-fat condiments like regular, sugar-laden BBQ sauce then, NO, those are not allowed. Q. Can I use low-carb protein shakes on Boot Camp to replace a meal? A. Yes, as long as the total carbs do not exceed to 1 - 4 per serving, you may use protein shakes and stallone-type 'puddings'. Q. We don't have WishBone Spritzers here. What else can I use? A. You might make your own salad spritzer (pump spray bottle) with another light dressing (low-cal, low-carb). Otherwise, choose a light/low-calorie dressing where possible. Use only 1 Tbs. if a full-fat or creamy dressing is used. If the dressing is 'light' (as in Kraft Light Done Right), then 2 Tbs. may be used. Less is best. (Add water to thin, if needed, to fully 'dress' salad. You may also dip the tines of your fork into the dressing before picking up each bit of salad, to save calories.) Q. Could we still use maybe a Tbs. of mayo if we are eating tuna? A. Mayo is a place where people can go off-base quickly, so avoid where possible. You may occasionally use 1 Tbs. mayo (2 if low-fat mayo is used) in tuna or chicken salad, etc, IF it replaces the salad dressing that would normally go with that meal. Q. Can I have anything sweet? What about sugar-free gelatin? A. You may drink diet drinks, coffee, and tea sweetened with low-calorie, low-carb artificial sweeteners. You may also have sugar-free gelatin that is no more than 10 calories and 1-2 carbs or so per serving. (No sugar alcohols.) You may routinely have 1 serving (1/2 cup) per day, 2 as a fall--back position if needed. Q. I am a very big guy, and very active. Can't I eat more? A. These portion sizes meet government standards for average daily protein allowance. However, if you are a REALLY BIG guy, you may add more protein and/or eggs to each meal or to eat as a snack. If needed, you may eat up to double the specified protein limit. Keep it lean - watch hamburger and steaks! Q. What counts for exercise? A. Any movement that makes you sweat works. Q. What if I can't do 30 minutes? A. Pick several 10-minute sessions if 30 minutes at once is too much. Q. Must I exercise 7 days a week? A. Seven (7) days a week is best for fastest results. Six (6 ) days a week is permissible for those who wish to keep a day of rest. Five (5) days a week is the minimum to meet Boot Camp Physical Training requirements. Q. What happens if I go off plan and cheat? A. It doesn't matter if you fall. It does matter if you get off your duff and get going again! If you are making every earnest effort to follow Boot Camp Rules, then feel free to participate in this forum (as in any others on this site, as well). If, at some point, you choose to no longer follow the Boot Camp requirements, you may honorably switch to K/E or Kimkins with no shame or stigma. All are excellent plans, all part of what is offered here, and you may do well on any of them.

I'm not totally "playing by the rules" today as I packed my food for the office prior to joining the challenge.
Here it is: Breakfast: Egg Beaters (equivalent of 2 eggs), 2 slices Canadian Bacon Snack: 1/4 cucumber, small can flavoured tuna Lunch: 3.5 oz turkey meat, 1 hard boiled egg Snack: 1/4 cucumber Dinner: 3.5 oz salmon, 2 cups mixed greens w/ spritz I had a 30 min walk at 6:00 am & I'm meeting a friend for a lunch hour walk, so that'll be 90 min for me today. |

OK - Mid Day Report from Me!
So I just finished up with my Mid Morning HIIT - Run/Walk/Hike on my Treadmill... I feel soooo worked! Instead of my planned 30 minutes, I bumped it up to 45, since DD was still napping. Tomorrow I will do 30 and Friday back to 45. I think this will help... I have a Wedding to be in on the 17th and we leave for Colorado on the 14th so I am hoping to be looking and feeling MUCH better by then. I always use Vacations as a reason to eat and do whatever I want. BUT this year I plan to be much different! We are camping in Grand Lake, CO for a week and a half and my DD is 16 months old. I want to be able to swim with her and take her on Hikes to all of the beautiful places. I cannot do that when hungover and overstuffed! So I am hoping that I can get back on track and create some even better habits within this Boot Camp and then get back on Kimkins for the week prior to our Vacation. On Vacation I plan to do Kimkins/Atkins with a couple of Cycling days here and there, since the Wedding will be a time to celebrate, etc. Any one else have anything like this going on anytime soon? I would love to hear it! I want this thread to be about Boot Camp but more importantly to get to know each other and rely on each other! So please share any thoughts and sentiments as they come! |

Mission: Postpartum Baby Fat Removal Hi ladies! I am a 38 year old Mom of a 14 month old. Looove that baby...don't much like the body pg gave me! I haven't had the willpower to stick with lc since he was born. I do really well for a week or so...then BINGE. I am really hoping that if the plan is strict~no wiggle room~then I might really stick with it. B: Omelet w/fruit (this was before I signed up for the military) L: HB egg D: Chicken breast and 2 cups salad VOO and vinegar I've never even tried lc without dairy. I *think* that may have been an issue. Too much that I wasn't really counting. Good luck ladies...er..Privates!!

I have a corporate meeting to attend at the end of August. I want to be as close to onderland as possible. The last time any of my peers saw me I weighed 238. My goal for this challenge is 12lbs. B:2 hb eggs 2 pieces of turkey bacon L: No lunch;I was out all afternoon and didn't plan for it(I know not good!!!)(I had a bad case of SNATT this afternoon-felt really nauseous!) D:6oz turkey burgers and 1 whole cucumber w/salad spritzers Exercise: 30 minute jog on treadmill
