Question - Smoothies
Hello LCF,
Does anyone know of any low carb smoothie receipes? If so, can you please share it with me? I am currently doing the Kimkins WOE plan and would like to change it up a little bit. I am looking for a smoothie recipe that would be great with my GNC Whey Protein. Thank you in advance for any help. |

Most smoothie recipes contain fruit and since that's offlimits on any Kim plan, I don't know how you'd pull that off.
I have heard of people using diet soda to mix in with their protein drink so if you did a sugar free orange soda and vanilla PP, maybe it would taste like a Creamsicle or if you did rootbeer then a root bear float. I haven't tried it, though, so I can't vouch for how it tastes. |

Thank you for the suggestions. I am not doing the fruits or veggies right now so I was looking for something different.

if you do a vanilla whey protein with some cream soda it is pretty good. I tried it with the vanilla yogurt as well. it's better that way. but just letting you know, it's good with root beer too

i don't know much about kimkins. can you have milk?
i make a smoothie with milk, protein powder, and a few shakes of sugar free instant pudding (oh and a few ice cubes). comes out thick and tasting like a milkshake. :-) love, shannon |

I use Body Fortress Whey Protein, I get it from Walmart.
I like to mix a scoop of that with diet cream soda and a few ice cubes, thats really good. I also like Hood's Calorie Countdown milk, it has 3 carbs, and mix that with a scoop of vanilla or chocolate whey with a few ice cubes. If I've got a few carbs to spare I'll put 2 or 3 strawberries in it, just every now and then though. |

I use a scoop of whey protein powder with diet 7-up, 1/4 cup non-fat cottage cheese, a bit of sweetener, then flavor it with 1/4 tsp Crystal Light powder. Orange, Raspberry, Strawberry, etc. Plus 4 ice cubes. You can also use Crystal Light prepared with the protein instead of the soda.
