What Little Things Have You Noticed?

I absolutely love food!! No ED here unless eating too much qualifies! So I was skeptical when I started a Kimkins-esq WOE. However, I am absolutely loving the lose of appetitie!!!

1. My whole day is not about food

2. I can walk passed the vending machine and not even look at it!

3. I went to Walmart to stock up on non-perishables at lunch yesterday and I wasn't even tempted by the food or the 3 Musketeers in the checkout line!!

I've been flirting with LC on and off for years now- losing 30 lbs and gaining 50! I honestly think this is going to work because I'm training my mind and body not to anticipate food- the "eat something every couple of hours" of other diets was a death knell for me! I'm taking my vitamins and supplements and when I eat, I eat very well. But Kimkins has given me permission to only eat when I'm hungry- to listen to my body- and it's working!

My stats say 220- I have no clue what I was at when I started Kimkins, but last week I dropped 6 lbs! I'm only going to weigh once a week, so fingers crossed!

I love it that food doesn't control my life anymore. I've also lost weight on Atkins more than once (luckily, I never re-gained back to my original starting weight) and I know that if I cheat ONCE, I'm back to the beginning with cravings. My body reacts so quickly to sugar....the moment it touches my lips, I seem to be out of ketosis and on an eating rampage.

I'm trying to follow Kimkins, but I find it a bit too restrictive. I tend to cycle back and forth with Atkins. (Clean Atkins, no frankenfoods)

Hi Deb3,

I am totally in agreement with you when you stated that "this is going to work because I'm training my mind and body". For once in my life, I feel like I have supreme control over my mind and body and it will fall in line with a healthier eating lifestyle. I wish you much success with reaching your goal.

Thanks, Marilyn!! I used to think people were crazy when they'd say that they forgot to eat or had to force themselves- now I understand!

I noticed I can actually bend over and tie my shoes without panting like a wind broke horse ...

I can walk to the bathroom and back and still have enough energy to sit down and not plop down

I can walk from the parking lot into the store and push a cart I dont have to be let out at the door and ride one of those motorized little carts anymore!!

I notice that I feel GREAT!!!!!

Diaper Butt!! Never heard that, but I have it!! My butt gets flatter before my hips start to narrow so I'm stuck wearing the same size after weight loss that would have most people one or two sizes smaller~

I totally agree with you! I don't obsess or think about food all the time anymore. At work someone dropped off a cookie basket as a gift to the office. Before, I would have snuck a cookie or two but now I didn't even think about it, I just set it on the common table.
