How much are eggbeaters where you live?

I only have one store near me (30 minute drive) that sells them, and they are $2.89 for 6 little cups. I looked at that and saw one omelette.

Seriously though, I was dissapointed... groceries are really expensive where I live in general, so it made me wonder if this is a normal price.

Thanks for any info!

About 5$ for the quart-size generic brand. I don't buy the individual cups - they are too expensive.

I live in Lexington, KY and the small container is $2.43 and larger one is $4.96. This is the cheapest price that I could find and this was at my local Super Wal-Mart.

Cricket, you are paying 2.89$ for 3 cups of eggbeaters if you are buying those six-pack things (isn't each container 1/2 cup?). The small size people are referring to is a pint, which is 2 cups, so it sounds like you are doing better than most of us in what you pay.

I want to try the flavored ones, but they only come in pints around here and they are over 4$ !!

I get Kirkland brand pint size for $1.52 each. Seriously... if you can get 'em at a box store like Costco or Sam's (or 3 Bears Alaska like we have here...) that's the way to go. (Split a membership with someone... or beg a friend to pick 'em up for you! )

It makes me wonder if I found the right bakery if I could talk them into selling me a gallon. I used to work in a bakery, and we kept them by the 5 gallon tub, a whole shelf full.

You'd think the Eggbeaters brand or the generics would get with the program and start offering half-gallon sizes. I'm sure there'd be a demand for it.

Cricket, how many calories do you eat per day? I think you might be the only man here ?? Do you eat more than the rest of us?

I haven't been counting yet to be honest. I wanted to spend the first week just establishing myself into deep ketosis. I think I've been super low for the last week or so though. Probably too low - there were a couple days were all I ate was a chicken breast or two. .

Love this too, we buy them at Sam's for about the same price. Get some Roasted Garlic Spice, through that in there, or some Southwestern Spices and your good to go...

It sounds like I need a Sam's Club membership....

I love anything Southwest/Mexican. Lately I'm obsessed with adobo seasoning.

Is adobo a cream or a paste? Or is it a spice in a jar?

It's like garlic and salt and parsley and oregano and cumin and pepper and stuff all mixed together, like a season salt.

Yes, it's gluten-free. It's a mix of spices and seasonings, a lot like a seasoned salt. I bought a big jar of it for 1$, a generic brand, and it doesn't have anything questionable in it - just the spices.

Do watch the sodium though. I don't know if they are all like mine, but mine is mostly salt. Becaus eof the other flavors though, I have a tendency to use way more of it than I would regular salt.

Sorry I quoted some mistaken information. The Sam's Club eggbeaters were actually 4/$7.88.

Thanks, cricket.

I'm actually okay with adding sodium. I am on the hypotensive side and doc okayed me adding salt, and being careful when I get up from a sitting position.
