meat and egg
how long can u do meat and egg for? i read somewere and it said 1 week or till goal? could u do it 4 a month?

Well I have been doing it for 2 weeks and I want to continue until I get to my mid-goal weight of 180 (I'm at 221 right now). I am pretty sure you can do it for as long as you can stand to do it! The key is a good selection of meats and a lot of different recipes otherwise it gets very boring very fast. The reason they say 3-5 days is b/c that is how long it is supposed to take to put you in ketosis, and then you can start on the low carb/low fat diet..but as I said I have been on it for 2 weeks and it's not too bad!

Flagal~~ I have been on for 5 days and I am resisting the urge to weigh myself. Congrats on two weeks! M/E is haaaaard. Would you mind sharing how much you have lost in the two weeks you have been doing it?
Diver~~ Flagal hit the nail on the head, I think. I don't worry about how long it's okay to do M/E... I worry about how long I can stand eating eggs and meat exclusively. Good luck!!! |

IWrite- I have lost a total of 14lbs, but I also have to add that I have so much energy right now as compared to feeling like poop in the first week.
Antigone- I have not had the problem, but my problem has been the exact opposite...getting better now though. I would add some fiber to your water or something to help you stay regular and make sure you are taking your mulit-vitamins! |

Flagal~~ Thanks for the information!!! MY energy is so low right now I feel like I haven't slept in days. However, I would LOVE to lose 14 in 2 weeks. After I see the weigh-in results for the first week I will decide if I really should do another week. If the energy picks up it will be no problem. Good luck with your continued journey! How long do you plan to stay on M/E?

IWrite- Thanks so much! I hope that it goes good for you as well and your energy picks up like it did for me I know that first week was brutal, but stay with it and just keep looking forward to fitting in those pre-preggo jeans!!
