My 4th of July Confession

Hello LC Friends,

Well I didn't eat the snickers that I found in the fridge a few days ago and I felt really great about it, but I must now confess my sins of today. Yes, I admit I did cheat just a little bit. I am doing th M/E challenge this week and was suppose to only have meat and eggs, well, I did stick with my mea plan of lean means but I substituted one of my eggs for a cup of string beans. It just was not fair that my husband got to enjoy, ribs, burgers, ham, sausages, stringbeans, corn on the cobb, sphagetti, cornbread etc.....while all I had was a plain no BBQ sauce Italian turkey sausage, and egg beaters.....So I was like, what will only 1 small cup of stringbeans do to my diet.....Well I kind of feel horrible......but I know that I will survive and get back focused......On a good note, I did lose -2lbs this morning, which now brings me to a -20lbs loss in about 3 1/2 weeks.....One final comment, I did go to the gym and worked out my buns.....My normal interval aerobic class was cancelled for the holiday but the gym was still open.....so I rode the recumbent bike for 1 1/2 hours (6.5 miles) and did two rotations of strength training using the weight circuits......I just wanted to share with my LC Friends.....Hope you all had more success than I did by avoiding temptation.....Wish you all continued success with your healthy living.

I'm not gonna give you grief for eating a handful of veggies when you held strong against the Snickers bar! That took guts - OTOH, when you went for the green beans, this was your body craving the nutrients, fiber and taste of naturally healthy food.

Not one person on this or any other weight loss board ever got fat from eating too many green beans. They are one of my fave veggies (did you ever stew them in tomato sauce with oregano & garlic? YUMMO!)

Stay strong against the not-so-good foods and enjoy the good stuff when it's in season!

Ummm you are carrying way to much guilt about some veggies! They are in fact good for you. They may not be what is on your plan, but you can hop right back on! Like I said I was attacked by a hotdog last night. Not gonna let it ruin my goals though. Hang in there sweetie.

Oh man, you did WAY better than I did today. I hope you don't mind if I applaud you for your success!!! I strive for the day that I will consider a cup of stringbeans a "cheat".

You did good!

I ate tuna and spinach leaves while everyone else ate holiday food. Hard but it will pay off in the long run!

Congrats on sticking with it today!

I had parmesan crusted chicken breast and asparagus stir fry - without the carrots.

Then my husband had a BIG bowl of Peanut Butter Panic Icecream.. MY FAVORITE!! I just had a couple lean ham rollups

One cup of green beans is actually a good cheat

In the grand scheme of things, a cup of stringbeans is a grain of sand on the low carb beach of success!

You have done so well!! Eating a few veggies is not going to hurt you that much! I have been adding a cup at night and I have still been losing so a big WTG on not caving to nasty, sugary, carby food

sails92: Forgive yourself. Plus I cheated so big yesterday! I felt like I had a horrible hangover and my stomach hurt so bad this morning because my body was not use to all that rich food. But today I am back on track. You and I will just keep on truckin'.

A cup of veggies is your super cheat?! HA! No seriously...you should be proud of all the great choices you made instead of focusing on what you've decided is the negative. You are doing great!!!

I wish I could stay the same for my 4th. Ruh roh...
