Any Veggies/Vegans doing Kimkins?
At the moment I am doing The Vegetarian Low Carb Diet by Rose Elliot....
But I have heard many good things about Kimkins.... before parting with my money I would like to know how livable with it is for vegetarians and vegans. I am veggie verging on vegan and there is no way I am going back to meat/fish/dead things even if I end up beautifu! (c: Thanks for your imput on this.... Judith PS I'm in the UK so also don't want to have to buy anything other than foods I can easily get at the supermarket! Fussy aren't I?! |

You might be eating a lot of tofu. I just discovered from this forum that tofu is lower in carbs and is appropriate for the Kimmers plan.
To lose being a vegan/veggie, it seems like you'd have to focus on low-starch green veggies. You could combine that with tofu. If you can stick with it, you'd probably see some losses. Personally, I like the satiety factor and appetite suppressing effects of high protein/fat, so vegan/veggie would not work for me. But apparently tofu is low enough in carbs to be acceptable to K/E-Kimmers, so it's another choice. Don't forget to take B12 if you're doing vegan. You don't really need to pay the 60$ for the site since all the info is here on the forum in the "Sticky" sections. You might get more recipes there, though. Good luck! |
