15 lbs in 15 days?
Hi all! I'm new here, new to low-carb, new to Kimkins. And just a little bit desperate.
I'm going on the trip of a lifetime in 2 weeks and I'm the heaviest I've ever been (147 lbs). I've been aiming for 120 lbs for a few years now. That's what I used to weigh, a lifetime ago... Now I understand that 30 lbs in two weeks is just not going to happen. I've been reading up on Kimkins and it seems like a very efficient way of getting started with the weight loss. But is 15 lbs in two weeks too much to aim for? Or am I just setting myself up for a disappointment? I'm afraid I just can't afford the $60 joining fee at the moment but I will join next payday. I've managed to find the principles of the diet (20 carbs, 70-90 protein, 3 cups of salad type vegetables and little else). I know this is a lot to ask, and unfair since I haven't paid yet, but I would really appreciate any further advice. What exactly are salad vegetables? Can they be consumed in addition to the 20 grams of carbohydrates or should they be included in them? I'm also a vegetarian but I'm willing to eat fish and eggs. Are beans allowed? Can eggs be consumed whole or should I only use the egg whites? I'd be more than happy with any sample menus, repices, anything. And I'm sorry for probably asking the same questions that have been asked many times on this board, I'm just incredibly impatient to get started! Thank you all so much! |

Plaindoll! All the info you need on Kimmer and Kimkins is posted on the top of this Kimkins forum. Look for "Ask Kimmer" and start there. Those are her own rules, guidelines, information, and answers all about her Kimkins diet. Good luck to you! |

MAJOR LCF POSTER!

Here you don't have to pay anything!!! Isn't that wonderful? There are many folks here who know how to use this way of eating and will be happy to guide you.....for free! The "cost to join the site" you are speaking of is another website entirely, NOT this one.
Good luck with your weight loss journey and don't forget the most important part.....learning how to maintain your weight after you've arrived at the weight you'd like to stay at. |

Thank you so much for your support!
![]() I know this website is free and that truly is wonderful. I was just thinking that a lot of the people who actually do have the recipes and whatnot have actually paid to get them and I feel a bit rude trying to get them for free. But I was a little impatient, I could read the other posts first. Thanks ![]() |
