Maybe not to keep up the Hype, but to do what Kimmer did...Make everyone think they are so Great. To Quote Kimmers own phrase "The Domino effect". lol

Then there are people who truly have done it. Who knows the truth? IF the leader can't be honest about her own weight loss and with pictures of not only herself but others that were photochopped on her site.

It's a Free for all to see (or make it seem) like Who truly is following Kimmer's Gospel. I'm sure alot of them (not all) fake it to find favor.

Oh I have no doubt that there are those who have been successful. We have seen that here, but even some of those who have been successful on the plan have questioned the validity of the person behind the plan.

I'm just saying that to create the Domino effect, you have to have a few obedient dominoes.

I've been on this site for almost 6 years now - and I have to say, this is the single, most interesting and informative thread I've ever seen IMO.

I'm learning so much. Thank you to all for taking the time to post

Keep in mind when people *DO* question her authenticity their posts are quickly removed or they get banned. So what looks like a lack of questioning may really be a case of good "editing" on Kimmer's behalf. Heck, we already know of questions that were posted there that were quickly removed and silenced.

You are right. I think it's a combo of all of that.

Frankly, I don't know how Kimmer sleeps at night, trying to keep things straight!! LOL

That's very true. When you take out all the negative, all that's left is the positive. Great spin doctors at work there.

Legitimate ones, but that would take a REAL plan with a REAL person to get a REAL doctor to endorse sit!! LOL

Kimkins is Stillmans and atkins with her own added advice. The doctor would actually have to READ all the advice and such and Then there is the matter of them actually Meeting the real person to make sure they are healthy, have lost the weight, that their claims are real etc... Like THAT is going to happen!!

Along that line and the "obedient dominos" doing her bidding .... in several posts over there Kimmer points out that she is completely "computer illiterate," a "klutz," a "dummy" who knows little about the workings of her own site. To read some of her comments, it's a struggle to even answer PMs without screwing up. In fact, her "goal for 2007 is to become computer literate."

So if Kimmer is supposedly incapable of understanding the basics of running her site, who is doing all these quick edit jobs and insta-banning?

Isn't her son Brandon Diaz proficient on computers and listed somewhere as one of the founders/creators etc? Is he on payroll, monitoring the site for her? She has "a team" but he's not listed. There's a PR person and an affiliate manager, but no name for a "webmaster/mistress."

And one more thing ..... how come most of these "success stories" don't actually POST THERE?

What she's probably banking on is all the people that joined solely from the WW article and are not involved at all in a true low-carb lifestyle - including the various forums that are unraveling the mystery. So if she can keep the boards there "clean" then she will continue to add more followers. That is why this really needs to be brought to a more public level, if in fact we are correct, and its really hard to see it any other way at this point. Again, if I were innocent, I would be pretty hurt and angry over all that is going on, but you better believe I would do whatever it took to prevent my business from failing - especially if it is what is supporting all the foster children she loves so much. JMHO.

Hi peeps :
1) I do wonder why so many people seem to take such offense that kimmer would say restricting calories is a requirement of losing weight... but, at the same time, many individuals take an equally unsubstantial position that losing weight without formal exercise is "wrong" or "unhealthy".

2) It was always my understanding that kimmer would respond to questions over, and over... and over, and was generally polite. If people kept asking the same questions, or asking questions that were obviously silly, I would get snarky too (like the woman who said she couldn't eat anything on plan for a few days and had no "choice" but to eat poorly - WHAT? How is that possible? clearly a case of deee- e nial there, and apparently she wanted somehow to make it okay by giving up responsibility for her choices? I guess it's part of the whole kimkins worship phenomena... if you talk to/idolize someone who walks the walk, it feels kinda like doing it yourself?)

I think if kimmer were really as mean and nasty as people said she was... she wouldn't be as popular and successful as she is now. Kimmer is admired because she is young, pretty, thin, knowledgeable, *and* she was willing to spend a LOT of free time giving out advice based on what works for her. If any of these were different (if she were old, ugly, fat, ignorant, or not willing to spend a lot of time dishing out advice that is...) this thread wouldn't exist.
The kimkins site wouldn't exist.

Personally... I think all this drama is one part jealousy (I can't help but notice it's usually those who struggle the most with their own "success" who seem to have the most issues with kimmer), one part cattishness (angry / frustrated /insecure people love to jump in on an unpopular person), and a whole lot of drama (and, that's why I'm here, I'm a sucker for internet drama )

Honestly... would we really really really care if kimmer didn't represent a living diet success testimony? And, I don't mean success in the terms of "losing weight", but success in the terms of being enviable in that she is now thin, young, and pretty (and our whole culture, especially dieters, believe being thin, young, and pretty is the magic solution to a happy life?)

This may have already been said but I Googled Kimkins and on the home page there is the "Lady in Red" and about 1/2 way down is a picture of a girl named Deni. These look like the same girls. What do you think? I was never impressed with Kim, Kimmer, Kimkins, whatever anyway.

You haven't read this entire thread, have you? That's not a dig or anything...It's just that those same questions have been responded to alot of times and always by someone who hasn't read the whole thread.

I think I'm too tired to type it out all over again. I'm sorry ItsTheWoo, you'll either have to read the thread or someone else is going to have to respond.

Here's another Question. In the WW article, it makes it sound like Dr. Pescatore endorses the plan. He heads the Hamptons diet. They have some quotes from him.

Anyone know anything on that?

I breifly went to the Hamptons diet page , Don't know any more then that.

But itthe who, how do we know what she looks like???? That's the question. I am in no way jealous about anything......All I ever wanted was my money back because this plan is not for me..........I was denied.......I'm glad people can lose on her terms. Good for them....

As far as Kimmer answering questions as a supportive person: Your understanding, or your experience? just curious.

Why do you think Kimmer is a thin and beautiful person? Have you seen her in real life? A person who has good writing skills, good communication skills does not mean thin or beautiful. She may have writing skills that make her sound like something that she is not, but that does not make her a thin beautiful person.

Yes, we do care because she is taking money. What she may be doing is commiting fraud. That is why we care.

Why do people think others are jealous when they are open for debate? I have never understood this.

She has a PR person, right? Isn't it the PR person's job to respond to any type of publicity, good, bad or indifferent?

I think she needs a new PR person.
