I was actually shocked to see her real name is Heidi Diaz. My last name is hispanic (through marriage) and I always told my husband that a german first name and a mexican last name sounds funny together and no hispanic would name their girl Heidi. I guess I was wrong about that one!

So there are now 3 names? Kim Drake, Heidi Diaz and Heidi Miller? Do I have that right?

Kim Drake (a complete fake name with no connection) Heidi Diaz and Now her Maiden name too?

WOW This just gets more crazy all the time.

Just a thought....

She's a CASA right? That is a very very admirable thing to do, and I honestly applaud her for that.

Here's my thought though...

Being a CASA, she should be setting a good example for these children. So why all the secrecy and/or fraud (if proved true)? IMO, that is just plain wrong. JMO though.

ANother thing I thought of this morning in refernce to the pics.

Look at George Stella. He and his family lost a boatload of weight low carbing. They have boatloads of B&A's. You can still tell it's them in the pics though!

ETA: and he has "his way" of doing tings, Stella Style. And he has HIS face all over it and promotes it himself.

Kimberly is supposed to be her middle name. Even when she was on here as Kimmer she said her first name was not Kim and that it was a nick for her middle name. And even on the report that someone pulled it said Heidi K. Diaz. Honestly you have know clue if she has been married once or twice or has a maiden name. On my mother's credit report there are 5 different variations of her name with 3 different last names (maiden, and two husband names)

Somewhat in Kimmer's defense, WW ain't Newsweek and I wouldn't be surpised if the moron's over at that publication didn't make up the Kim Drake name themselves. I feel certain they are the same moron's who threw in that picture of "Kimmer" in the animal print dress. That was just idiotic! That person didn't look like anyone even remotely associated with the whole Kimkins thing. I just have a feeling that Kimmer may not be behind the Kim Drake thing. WW has been known to throw in to a story completely unrelated photos. They do it all the time. I wouldn't be surprised at what else they threw in just to make the story sound better.

I am curious about the Jimmy Moore "interview" that was supposedly done by phone but if you read it they both compliment each other on how good the other looks??? Does anyone really know how that interview happened? He's pretty much lost all credibility with me at this point but I would like to know if anyone knows how that interview really went down. Maybe I am completely confused??

When I look my name up on line. It shows lots of different variations on my name. Married name. Maiden name. Middle name as last name. It also shows I have lived in places I have never been too. One credit reports says I have an address in Louisiana. Thats clear across the country from me.

It shows my oldest DD being 7 years older then me.

On the starvation mode theory:

Drs. Eades have stated in their book Protein Power that when your calories are TOO low..say 700-800, you DO burn fat..however, you also burn MUSCLE..Because the body senses that it is not getting enough food and it dumps the biggest user of calories, that is the muscles. Thus, if you are on a very low calorie plan, you definitely will lose muscle. Losing muscle is not a good thing because if you start to increase your calories, you will gain weight quickly. Maybe that's why Kimmer is into fasting..to continue to keep that starvation thing going..

Kimmer left this site because of the negative attention that Kimkins generated- and she was reluctant to show pictures because she said that invariably people would question whether it was really her. Deju vu! She's gone now- if you have a problem, don't come to this thread or go to her site!

I honestly don't remember if she said she knew her in real life or not. All she would really say is they had a falling out and Kimmer is not what she says she is and don't trust her.

The last time I checked my credit it had 17 variations on my name. It also had me as living in Montana at one point and I have never been there in my life. I called the credit agency and they told me however a company inputs yoru name when doing a credit check it gets recorded as such. They said it was no big deal. The address they took off for me.

Maybe practice what you preach?

We have a right to investigate and question the legitimacy of things that happen in our world.

Not necessarily

Not necessarily. If one were losing muscle, she would also lose strength. While eating 800-1000 calories a day during my physique transformation, I was able to exponentially increase my strength (for example, I went from benchpressing 45 pounds to 100 pounds during that time). This was due to proper and serious periodized weight training.

You can't lose muscle and get stronger at the same time.

Skelly: And, you were eating 1000 calories..PLUS you were getting enough protein, right? And, you were working out, right. But, there is a fine line between eating enough calories and starving your body (no matter how much exercise you do).

Freedom is one thing--fraud is another. Did we forget that Martha Stewart went to prison for fraud and she didn't misrepresent herself, affect anyone's health or life, and she certainly didn't affect anyone's pocketbook.
..but you've forgotten that Martha Stewart broke the law. Has Kimmer broken any laws? Is anyone twisting your arm to buy a membership to her site?

Quote:
Yet here is Kimmer doing all that, and you say she should have the freedom to do it because the US was founded on FREEDOM?
Are Amercians not free to open and operate an online business? What is illegal about what she is doing?

Quote:
What Kimmer (Heidi) is doing could possibly cause irrepairable harm to people. After all, someone here just posted that after 2 weeks on her diet, she passed out cold on the floor when she got up to answer the phone.

When a 300 lb person, or even 150 lbs for that matter, cuts her calories down to 300 per day, she is asking for major problems.
Kimmer's plan doesn't advocate 300 calories a day. When you repeat incorrect information, you're behaving exactly the way the low fat gurus do when you mention the "Atkins" diet or any other low carb plan.

Quote:
They may not show up today, tomorrow, or even next year, but those effects on the body will surely surface some day. If you don't believe that, think about smoking--they now say that even if you quit, you could end up with major health problems later that are still related to the smoking.
I say that each and every person has the PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY to check out a diet plan with their doctor before they start. Kimmer isn't the Medical Officer of Health...she's someone running a BUSINESS. This can't be compared to smoking since dieting isn't exactly addictive....

I agree that there's no harm in asking questions, I'm just curious why there is so much speculation about Kimmer now. I don't remember her ever having this many posts when she was actually here. Suddenly, she has to be completely transparent because she has an online business. Surprise, surprise--my brother wrote an e-book under a pseudonym--he was advised to do so by his Lawyer. It's possible that Kimmer also uses a pseudonym, as well as a fake photograph. Who knows? Why do we care, anyways?

We care because she's selling something related to appearance, and if she isn't who she appears to be, something is wrong. What she looks like is highly relevant.

This is what doesn't sit well with me.

There are lots of people here (myself included) that have lost a lot of weight. Okay, I gained a little back but I also just had a baby 2 months ago. If someone wants to ask advice, of course I would give it to them, as would lots of folks on here and try to help them the best I could. However, I am not a self proclaimed weight loss guru, and having no medical/scientific research done in a clinical setting to back me up, I would expect people to take my advice with a grain of salt, and if it doesn't feel right, don't do it. And I sure as heck wouldn't try to charge anyone for it.

Kimmer on the other hand is promoting herself as an expert in weight loss, and if the numbers on her site are accurate, and judging by her following on here, people are actively seeking out her advice and paying for it with their hard earned money. By doing that, she is opening up herself for scrutiny and criticism, and should not be offended by people wanting to see some kind of proof, and when there are red flags raised, she should be willing to address the concerns of those who are making her a successful businesswoman by paying for her expertise. When she was on here giving advise for free, that's awesome. I'm not going to deny that she has helped people. And when the advice was free and wasn't a business, if she wanted to remain very private and not have to prove herself that was fine. Now that she's profiting from it, that to me is a different story. Like I said before, if I want expert help , I want to know that the people I am seeking help from are legitimate and real. That's all. I have no problem with her diet if that's what she chooses, and if someone else wants to do it, go for it. It's not personal, I don't know the her other than from her posts or website and I'm not attacking her. There is absolutely nothing wrong with expecting legitimacy in business. If you're going to sell something like this, I feel you should be willing to put yourself and your credibility on the line to back it up.

Thank you.

And I am sorry if that came off snotty. It wasn't meant to. I understand people thinking its not a big deal and we should let it go. That's their opinion and perogative. Wanting the truth and to find answers is ours.

Both sides are certainly entitled to their thoughts, feelings and opinions on the subject.

Exactly. I don't feel that a person in her position should get defensive about it, or BAN people from her site for asking legitimate questions.

It seems to be that she would be HAPPY to show people if it is the truth. The fact that she isn't makes it feel like she has something to hide.

JMHO.
