You know, this SNATT Thing is really bothering me. The T-shirts and all. I find it "very" disturbing.

It doesn't come acrossed as a "private Joke". It reminds me of the "Ana" bracelets people used to wear.

Very Disturbing.

"Established" by who? Kimmer? I believe she told millions of people she was Kim Drake, didn't she? So, how could she be "Heidi Diaz" and be who she says she is?

There are alot of inconsistent things, I guess you would have to read the entire thread to get all of them, but they are there.

I don't get why people don't get this. Kimmer could be ANYONE. She is charging people $60 to join her site based on the fact that she supposedly lost 200? lbs in 11 months. The pictures she has GRUDGINGLY posted don't prove she is who or what she says she is. If you are going to SELL a product, you better be ready to prove who you say you are.

I have seen too many internet frauds to take ANYTHING anyone says on the internet at face value. 2 frauds I recently encountered personally:

1.) a girl who claimed to be in her 20s and anorexic. Turned out she was in her 40s and morbidly obese.

2.) a girl who claimed to be 20 and turned out to have cancer...then she died. A whole board was heartbroken. She kept up this persona for over a year before she "died". Turned out she was in her 40s, a very much alive, married woman.

Some people will do a lot of weird things for recognition and admiration. If Kimmer is who she says she is and has lost all the weight and kept it off, good for her.
If she is not, then she is committing a fraud.
Why not just come clean? Why all the mystery? She could clear this all up very easily if she chose to. Why doesn't she?

Oh, and by the way, I have been here a LONG time...long enough to remember when Kimmer called her plan "low carb My Way". The reason she became so popular and well know here was because people saw her stats and kept asking what she did to lose so much weight. That was what started the whole ball rolling as I remember.

But even then, she refused to post pics. She finally posted the pics that show up as her avatar pics here, but those got questioned almost immediately. When questioned as to why she would not post pics, she said she didn't have to prove anything to anyone. Well, I disagree with that and always have.

Have any of you been in the gallery? There are so many people who have lost a lot of weight and are HAPPY to post pics to show people their success. It is just very curious as to why Kimmer never would.

I guess I just don't understand the drama.

I've followed Kimmer's advice and lost 27 lbs...that's all the proof I need to know it works, but I also lost weight on Atkins and Scarsdale....diets work differently for different people.

I'm not following a PERSON, I'm following a plan that may or may not work for me. Kimmer never said she was the Messiah....

It's funny about that red picture .. When that WW issue came out, Kimmer was talking about the photo shoot on her forum, saying how she had to basically twist herself and place her body in just the right position to look that good in the pic. Consumers nowadays expect that business owners will present themselves as the spokesperson in order to gain credibility. Lee Iacocca didn't hide behind George Clooney (which I wouldn't mind doing, but that's a discussion for a different thread!), and Orville Redenbacher was proud to represent the product that bore his name. These were businesspeople with the courage of their convictions.

We've all seen B&As on Richard Simmons infomercials, and he made it a point of a) being there as the front line person and b) showing "real" people of different shapes and sizes in his videos and ads in B&As, most of which look like real people who were prettied up for the After shot but not beyond recognition. In fact, some of the "Afters" are still somewhat zaftig by H'wood standards, but they are considered successes nonetheless. I believe that he also attends every one of the "Cruise to Lose" events. Just sayin'.....

Hasn't Kimmer always said her name was Heidi.

Maybe WW put her name as Kim Drake. Why would Kimmer need to change it. It's all over the internet, that Kimmer and Heidi Diaz are the same person.

I tried her diet when I first joined here, in 04 or 05 whichever it was. I followed her plan to the letter. I sure did lose a pound a day, even 2 or 3 pounds some days. Then, about 2 weeks into it, I got up to answer the phone and passed out cold on the floor. If you choose to follow her WOE more power to ya, but in my opinion, it is not safe and I wouldn't do it again and I would try to persuade other people I care about from trying it. If you do it for 3 days, that's one thing, it probably would get you through a stall, but to continue eating that way is freaking nuts. I'm gonna choose to keep my comments about water fasting to myself. She always did manage to dodge posting pics of herself, I remember that. One time a guy got into it with her about the exersize/no exersize debate and called her on never posting a full body shot. That got pretty interesting.

I don't hate Kimmer. I admire her business skills.

That said, I also believe something is not right about her business. The majority of the "Success Stories" pictures look real. However, I think about a quarter of them look like models for Valtrex ads. It's just strange to me to see so many quasi-professional looking pictures. BUT, I guess if you have $60 to join the site you also have money for a professional photographer.

Eh... I love a mystery.

Thanks for posting. Gosh, I'm so sorry you went through that, but so thankful you learned from it and share it with the rest of us.

Here's the thing, if this diet plan is so safe and healthy, would these same people who are doing it (and defending it) like it if their teenage child did it?
I think any parents responce would be NO!!!!!! It could hurt their health and turn them smack dab into a huge eating disorder.

BTW, My 2 youngest sons did atkins with me. Not only did they lose the weight, but they learned how to eat again and make fantastic food choices.
They still "low carb" with me. It's a lifestyle now.

What would bug me if i were thinking of joining her site, is that a lot of those success stories are missing before pics. There are 2 pics, but they look the same, making me thinknig they are both after pics, some have before pics, and I have seen some of those success stories here as members of LCF, so I know they are real people.

I noticed that as well.

I am not saying they aren't real people. I am not saying their experiences aren't real. I just think it's odd that they look like they had a stylist on hand for their after pics.

Also, even though the site boasts the 160 lb loss in a short time-span, it looks like (from success stories) 25-45 lbs is the typical weightloss.

I would love for it all to be real. I LOVE the idea that someone tackled a major life problem and actually made it profitable. However, I don't think it is a realistic plan. I don't believe in programs that boast "NO EXERCISE" (not that I am into exercise, but I am bright enough to know I should be). I would not suspect any of her photos were doctored, but that last one in the red dress is difficult to swallow. It FEELS like a scam and it makes me sad to think that someone who has dealt with these problems would turn and exploit those who still suffer. I am not saying that she is doing that... deductive reasoning just tends to lead me in that direction.

Why would WW mess with her picture too? Remember Kim Saying that Heads were going to roll at WW? I don't think that has happened yet.

You see, there are just alot of things that don't make any sense, that's the whole point of these posts.

As for why someone would post a picture of themselves a year ago, on classmates site at socalled "Old weight" when they had been at "goal" at all this time makes no sense either.

Alot of things make you go "hmm......"
