Great post - and thank you for sharing.

If I were Heidi I would be worried....... Now you know why Physicians carry malpractice insurance and believe me - it's not cheap. She is really on a slippery slope and God forbid no one has severe consequences.....

Can someone get me a copy of the plan as it exists now? I'm writing an article. This should be good.

but well....yeah, we've lost touch the last few months. it's just awkward for her i'm sure....she's very loyal to heidi and credits her with saving her life.

I hope you haven't lost touch with her because of all this stuff going on. That would be sad. She seems like a nice gal - just suckered into something too big and confusing and controversial. Thank goodness she is healthy and hopefully maintaining in a safe way....

How can you be loyal to someone when they refuse to meet you in person? She was actually doing Heidi a BIG favor by agreeing to be on the cover of that grocery shop rag. She has actually made Heidi a lot of money and to think that she couldn't even meet with her face to face. Really sad!

well, you know...heidi told her she had a "foster kid" emergency...hard to get upset about such a noble excuse.

Send me your e-mail address via PM and I'll send you the file. It's too long to post here as I am sure they limit the amount of characters in each post.

My real name is on the blog, so I haven't given it out. I will post the article when it is published. I might try and see it hit publication locally in print., Here's hoping! I'm working on it now. I've written nearly 700 words and haven't even begun eating my rant flakes.

Thanks! I'll PM kiki. People need to know the warning signs of their kids following this plan.

I tried Kimkims and K/E, lost weight on it, but I found it really weird that I had to restrict my veggies so what I am doing now is still lean protein plus salad greens - sometimes as much as 2 cups per meal. Definitely more that Kimkins allow. I guess I am doing Scarsdale now.

Reading all these stories sure hit a nerve. I realized I am not an aberration after all.

Here's what bothers me the most.

I am not an obese person, I currently weigh 155 pounds on a 5'7" small frame.
I went down to 144 at some point and looked horrid.
I made mistakes in my past WOE, I tried M/E, stayed on induction too long and I firmly believe it wreaked havoc on my thyroid.

At some point over the span of 5 days I wasn't losing an ounce and I asked in the Kimkins thread what to do. Kimmer told me I needed to cut my calories more.
I smacked myself on the head after day 6 of extreme hunger and severe fatigue and said s*rew this.

I got diagnosed with the thyroid disease and a light went on.
Quote:
However, the common symptoms are <snip>weight gain,
I could NEVER lose weight with this disease.
Since then I've gone back up in weight but concurred the symptoms and have finished a half marathon 4 weeks ago.

Putting myself in someones elses shoes I can imagine that person looking at the WW 'diet' and thinking, 'I can lose 10 pounds in 10 days, heck I can lose 20 in 3 weeks'!
How is 135 or less HEALTHY on a small boned 5'7 peep?

I'd love to lose tose 10 pounds fast but at what cost?
My MD told me to keep trucking, eat right and concentrate on my walking and yoga.

The moral of my story?
Not everyone is obese and this 'diet' can aggrivate so much in 'lighter' peeps.

Tiggerr: I agree with you. I too am 5'7.5" tall and got down to 126#. I have since gained some weight and actually my skin doesn't hang as much. When I was at my lowest - I really didn't look healthy. Plus I'm 62 y/o and that doesn't help matters.

Tiggerr,

Your post reminds me of someone I knew from kimmer's site who was consistently eating under 300 calories, everyday, and exercising at least 1 hour a day. (and no that is not a typo) At some point she stopped losing, she went to Kimmer for help several times. Not once was her calorie intake questioned. Not once. She was advised to take MOM or Smooth Move Tea and to stick with it because "She was doing GREAT!"

This member has since stopped posting so I don't know how she is doing but I hoped she stopped that madness. I worry about her.

Re: the mozzarella. That is on the list entitled "Meal Replacements & Snacks" I'm fairly confident it is a snack and not a meal replacement. But you are allowed only one per day.

jayed is right about the mozzarella cheese sticks.

Meal Replacements and Snacks:
- Low carb protein shakes (1-4 carbs) as a meal replacement
- Stallone brand protein pudding as a meal replacement
- Dannon Carb & Sugar Control yogurt (3 carb brand, limit 1 per day)
- Part skim string cheese (limit 1 per day)
- Sugar free gelatin (limit 4 oz per day, no whipped topping)
- Homemade or purchased sugar free popsicle

Although I'm sure there are *some* dieters who would consider it a separate meal. Afterall, there's an entire "Egg White Challenge" going on where you eat only egg whites for one or two meals a day. That's not in the "official" plan. However, you won't find K stepping in to advise her members against it either.
