Also if you look up all the posters past posts you will see that they have contributed greatly. Here is my postive post: If your feeling hungry just post to the board until the feeling subsides. Or take a bath or go for a walk. hth |

2nd of all, I think it's a "Grown up" thing to question and try to find out something. Most people research things to find out all they can about it. What's wrong with that? I won't blindly follow a diet plan, by a person who May or may not be real and may or may not damange my health. I'm sorry, I'm not that desperate to believe something blindly. I have a mind and when there are red flags, I ask questions. It's the adult thing to do. 3rd... If these threads bother you and you don't like the questions that are being asked, why do you keep coming back to these threads? If you have answers for us, I am all ears. If not, please don't tell me I can't ask these questions. I'm an adult (not in high school) and will not be bullied. If you want to believe something, more power to you, but you can't force it on someone else, neither can you tell them it's wrong to question something, just because it make you feel uncomfortable. Don't come into the threads. It's really that simple. No one went into a "Kimmer" thread to cause problems. People started a thread with the title that anyone would know they had "questions" about the pictures. You had the choice to either ignore the thread or go into it. You have a right to do Kimkins and post about it. Other people have a right to ask questions and they have done so in other threads (Letting it be known in the title what the thread was about). So, I can't see the reason why you are so upset. Last edited by Tooter : 07-03-2007 at 08:27 AM. |

I'm curious and I don't think it is wrong to be curious about Kimmer. I am following her K/E right now and having success, but that does not mean I don't want to know of HER results (ie - before and after). I think she would be doing a disservice to her own credibility if she is not posting accurate pictures. Since she did post some photos that really do not look like the same person, it is natrual for us to question it.
After reading the "Ask Kimmer" thread I was impressed with her dedication and the fact that pounds do seem to come off. Now that she is finding lots of success and making money, good for her. But, that does not mean I won't question when I think someone is pulling a fast one. Whether you are pro-Kimkins or not, questions and debate are not evil whether it be about her/her plan or any other.

I am not upset, I have no reason to be, kimmer is not my friend, not my sister, not my mother, no matter what though there are a lot of people looking for support not negative talk. I think you all should find better things to do with your time. More positive things, you are not just asking questions, if that was the case, this thread would be coming to a close, not continuing. Your bad mouthing someone, gossiping, and not making any headway really, just jabbering. You have your opinions and so do I, and this is a free and open room, anyone can post what they want, and all I will say in my defense is I am glad I have better things to talk about in my life then gossiping. Good bye and good luck to you all.

I'm guessing that you don't make the connection between the fact that if you're in a deep state of ketosis you're most likely going to have an 'unhungry' feeling of what has been described by some as 'slightly Nauseous'...
You know, ketosis, the whole point of low carb, aka ketogenic, dieting? |

It's not just gossip hopeful. She promoted unhealthy eating and no exercise. People get all starry-eyed and cultish with her yet she has no credentials and I believe she is a scam artist. She is dangerous IMO. I will say so anytime I feel the need to.

I do believe that the real "Kimmer" is probably a fraud. And probably did not lose 198lbs in 11 months. And I would never give 60 bucks to her site.
But I still follow the Kimkins plan. I think something just clicked with me again after so many low carb attempts. So far I've lost 20lbs, and I love eating this way. So I have only good things to say about the Kimkins plan, but I really do know enough about Kimmer herself to say one thing or another. |

I just have a few things to say--
I understand why you guys question Kimmer and her plan. I do too. I also think she offered a lot of advice and was very supportive on these boards. So whether we agree with her or not, she was also a positive presence (in addition to a negative, often snappy one). I have a hard time losing weight on straight up Atkins, and probably would do better on a plan like Kimkins. Really, I call it KISS, where I just eat simply meat & veggie meals with coconut oil and few other additions. I definitely agree that Kimmer believed whatever worked for HER had to work for EVERYONE. Like not exercising (?!?) Now, I believe in fasting-- I think it is natural to go through periods of feast and famine. But Kimmer drank diet sodas filled with chemicals throughout her fasts-- so she advocated "diet drink" fasts, which I think it wrong and irresponsible. But I don't think we should be attacking her because she advocated fasting. If you guys check out the intermittent fasting thread under other plans there is a ton of evidence for periodic fasting. I just felt like I wanted to clarify that.... I don't think you have to do M/E and fast in order to lose weight, but SOME people don't lose weight easily on typical Atkins-- I can't eat dairy, artificial sweeteners, nor nuts if I really want to lose weight. It sucks, really. M/E and fasting make me feel GOOD, so who is to say that it is unhealthy? I personally think we have evolved to survive like that. Also, to people who are just posting here thinking we have nothing better to do with our time, honestly are you kidding me?? Have you seen some of the other topics in the playground?? Are you going to attack them and say it's a waste of time too? Then isn't EVERYTHING, unless life or death, kinda a waste of time? Kimmer affected our lives, and as bystanders now, watching her become a millionaire on UNoriginal ideas-- I think that is something we have a right to be discussing!!!
