2nd of July Exercise on Kimkins... Who's with me?

I thought I'd post a little thread to motivate all of you to do some form of exercise today!

I'm going to the gym to do a 60 minute weights session with my trainer this evening...

So, what have you all planned to get/keep you in shape????

I am going for a 2.5 mile walk here this morning!

I am hoping this will help me lose some inches around my hips!

Hi Mimosa23,

I just came back from my aerobic class at the gym. I am starting to love exercise and it also helps that the women at the gym continue to motivate and encourage me. I am the largest person in my aerobic classes and for right now can not do all that they do but I keep moving. I work out at the gym about 5-6 days a week and also work in a little strength training. I think the strength training has maybe hindered my weight loss a little bit because the fat is turning into muscle but I know that in the end it will all work out. I wish you the best with your healthy living.

lamv,

Everytime I see you post, you just truly inspire me. Your stats are great. What is a typical meal plan for you?

I'll be going for a 30 minute power walk this morning. I walk while my kids ride their bikes.

Thanks so much. I had a rough weekend and that is very nice of you to say it helps me get back to my stricked eating!

My typical meal plan is usually

B- 2oz of lean ham
L- 2 large slices of Turkey lunch meat from the deli with 1 teaspoon of light mayo.
D- Grilled Chicken or Turkey

I got my walk in for the day and thinking about going on the trapoline with the kids to get another good workout!

I work out 6-7 days/week, usually 60-120 mins (often 90). I do spinning classes, strength training classes, and cardio machines like eliptical, treadmill, or tread climber.

Right now I'm on vacation. I went for an hour beach speed walk yesterday and did a bike ride today. Will do a beach walk today, too.

I brought some exercise videos and exercise bands with me so I could keep up the strength training. Strength training REALLY makes me feel good.

Ugh....I am having a hard time fitting exercise in! I know it is very important for the physical and mental aspects of losing weight, but I seem to hate it now. I use to love it. I use to teach aerobics years and years ago.

With that said, I squeeked 15 minutes on my stationary bike at midnight last night. My bootsky is miserable today. :-( I will try walking, but it will have to be well after dark and then I dare not go alone, so if my hubby or teen son will come along, I will do that instead. I just can't stand the 110 degrees right now.

I used to live in Mesa...so I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN! It is unhealthy to walk in that 110 degree heat! I used to walk at 5:00am, and I would still get overheated. I'd take 2 liters of water with me too!

Anyway, hope your men walk with you Good luck!

I've already taken a 20min/mile walk this morning and I plan on doing it again this afternoon. Baby steps for me. 2 miles a day is a pretty substantial improvement from ABSOLUTELY NOTHING...LOL!!

As I said above, I used to live in AZ, and it would be unheard of to walk in the afternoon. But the high today is 72 degrees, so I think I can do it! GOTTA LOVE WA STATE!!!

I'm glad you thought of this thread!

I JUST signed up for a gym membership yesterday and worked out for about 45 minutes. I was very proud. Will be doing the same again tonight.

I also ordered a pedal-exerciser on QVC last week. Should be here any day! I plan on pedalling on that sucker allllllll day at work (since I sit at a desk) and any time I'm just watching TV or on the computer at home.

You guys know what kind of machine I'm talking about??? I think it's gonna be great!!!

Here's a pic: http://64.33.124.100/media/products/..._exerciser.jpg

It's really basic, but it's movement! I hope it comes soon! I wanted it today.

But you can also change the intensity, so that's neat

Well done on all the exercise everyone! I certainly felt it afterwards, and am a little stiff this morning, but I'm going back for more as I've got a hard 60 min cardio session booked with my trainer tonight! Keep up the great work!

man am I sore today. I did 25 minutes of cardio... 5 minutes shy of my goal, but I have this scar on my foot that hurts when pressure is applied to it. And I bought new shoes, so my feet are trying to get used to them.

But I also did some strength training which lasted about 30 minutes too!

How'd everyone do?
