I am a big fan of GNC Whey Protein powder. I make up my own shake and only use soy milk. Wish you the best with your healthy living. |

I do shakes for my morning snack. I live Optimum Nutrition...they have the best flavors! They are everywhere...but Vitaminshoppe.com is easiest and cheapest for me so far. I have Cookies and Cream right now. Their Chocolate and Mint Chocolate are insanely good, though. I mix with water and ice in a shaker and usually use two scoops. Which is 4 carbs total...but 50 grams of protein and only 250 calories.

Thank You so much for sharing! Those of you who use the shakes, do you just do it for convenience, or do you find that it helps prevent stalls or have any other benefits that you'd care to share? Thanks again for your help!

Hi Kimkimy.....I drink my GNC's Whey Protein as a snack in between meals but sometimes I substitute for a meal.

Ep. 10 - Evil Protein Cookie
These cookies earned their name for a reason - I was absolutely addicted to them. I suppose there are worse things to be addicted to but how sad is it to be addicted to protein powder! I hesitated in doing this video because I don't want anyone to overeat them, but if they keep you from eating a real cookie then I can live with that. Just please, please, please don't overeat these or make a habit out of them. And if you think they are stalling you, by all means stop eating them! Recipe: 1/2 scoop designer whey protein powder, french vanilla flavor 1/2 tsp approx. of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray 1 splenda packet splash or two of water pumpkin pie spice (optional) Mix the protein powder, butter spray, splenda, and water in a bowl with a fork until it forms a ball. You might have to work at it for awhile or adjust how much of each ingredient you use. Microwave for 30 seconds. Sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice if desired.

WOE: Maintenance = Kimkins w/refeeds

Hi All! Yesterday I had a primarily shake/pudding day and was lost 3.5 pounds.
My Kimkins history: I'd strayed from Kimkins after losing too much (never had THAT problem on any other plan) and have been trying to find a way to maintain. I know I could just increase the calories and/or carbs but I love how I feel doing the plan (NO hunger, fast losses, HUGE energy). So I've incorporated "cheat days" to keep from going too low. So, back to yesterday: creamer in coffee, 1 Atkins shake, 1 Instone pudding, 1 EAS chocolate shake warmed up (= hot cocoa) and another Instone pudding with a quarter cup of mixed nuts dumped in. I'm back on track and Kimkins is working as beautifully as usual! Seeya! Ursula p.s. Kimkimy: the plan works with or without the shakes. I don't cook, so I like the convenience of them (and the pudding). |

OOPS! Forgot to add that I also had 3 fried WHOLE eggs in addition to what I listed above (don't want to be accused of undereating!).
Later! Ursula |
