I must be dense but...

is cheese allowed on Kimkins? I have been doing some reading but don't have time this morning to read ALL the threads. Any help would be appreciated. Especially, a sample menu for a day or two of Kimkins?

Thanks very much in advance!!!!!!!!!!

No Cheese is not allowed.

I do K/E and this is my menu for a typical week day. On the weekends I will add a salad.

B- 2oz of lean ham
L- Turkey lunch meat with 1 teaspoon of light mayo
D- Chicken breast

YES Cheese is allowed on Kimkins! It is K/E that she says no cheese. See below for the guidlines.

Here's the guidelines for Kimkins:
Up to 20 total carbs (not 'net')
Up to 3 cups salad type veggies or
Up to 2 cups salad veggies + .5 cup 'cooked'
70-90 lean protein grams
No LC products, treats, junk or alcohol
Just enough fat to make your menu work (don't overdo)

Here's the guidelines for the Kimmer Experiment (not M/E):
As much lean protein as you desire
Length of time is 3-5 days depending on how 'carbed up' you are
Purpose is to experience 'real' ketosis (weight loss, no appetite)
Useful as a springboard for other LC programs
No alcohol, no cheese
Basic condiments and spices OK (watch catsup & A1 sauce)

Angi, you're awesome!

I totally thought it wasn't allowed. I see what you're saying now. It sure DOES say no cheese on K/E, but not on Kimkins. I'm glad you're paying attention! =)

Just want to add that I just don't do cheese at all. Or dairy anymore and it really has helped my weightloss noticably!

Thanks for the replies. I am trying to lose about 20 lbs quickly, but I loves me some cheese.
I don't know if I could low carb without cheese. If I do decide to try Kimkins for a bit, I will watch how much I eat, but I don't think I could do none.

i think dairy stalls me too. When I was putting heavy cream in my coffee at the start of this diet, I was not losing. I cut out all that with the exception of a little cheese on my brocolli, but I limit it to once a week. It's my treat.
