Cramping
I just got done doing K/E for 5 days and am on day 6. Last night in bed I had cramping on my calves and still have some today. Is this normal on this WOE?

I've had severe cramps in my legs for a loooong time now. For me, it wasn't related to Kimkins, because I wasn't doing Kimkins. My doc said it's either potassium, not enough water, or circulation. He asked me to stretch my calves and upper legs before bed and up my water intake. (The cramps were mostly at night... but could pop up at any time). I did the stretches and he checked my potassium levels, which turned out fine. No help. I didn't up my water intake because I believed I was getting plenty of water. Well, since trying to eat better, I've been getting about 72 oz of water a day. I'm realizing now that I've never drank this much water before. On the days I do drink this much, I don't get cramps. When I only drink half or less... I'm almost gauranteed a cramp. I guess it was the water for me, all along!

Hmm, I got leg cramps for weeks (when low-carbing last year) and found out later it was caused by Hyponatremia, which is really low sodium in the blood. If you are drinking or gulping down tons of water before you go to bed or even throughout the day, that could be the reason. If you feel weak over your entire body along with the cramping, it's mostly likely definitely a blood sodium deficiency.
