Hi
Mfit4Me,I actually started Kimkins last Tuesday and had pretty good results. However, I picked up some bug and was sick all weekend and ended up eating ramen and crackers for 3 days, so I gained all but .8lbs back. I'm up to 249.2 . Anywho, I'm restarting today, as long as my stomach accepts it (its mulling over the tuna I just ate). So I guess that kinda counts as starting today.Anyway and good luck!Michelle |

I use it too, just a tbs. I can't do tuna without it and I like tuna!

Well, I had tuna without mayo and it was ok. Am I supposed to stay away from chicken thighs? I know they are not the leanest but I do eat them and make sure I pick out all the fat. I baked a whole bunch of them during the weekend and DH can't eat them all by himself. Actually he's getting sick of them and is not much of a meat eater like me I don't want to waste them and was thinking of having some tonight or as a snack. Will it affect me that much?
Div, hoping you are feeling much better! |

I've been stuck at my current weight for a while now as well. I'm a first time mommy. My son is going on 7 months. I gained 35 lbs while I was pregnant with him and lost 25 pretty quickly then got stalled. Now I need a jump start to get me out of the stall and am hoping that this will work. |

Well, about the chicken:
3 oz of boneless thigh is 121.83 calories 6.12g fat 3 oz of boneless breast is 85.35 calories 1.71g fat I personally would eat it. Maybe not for three meals a day but it isn't that big of a difference in my opinion. |

I get chicken thighs because you can get a huge amount of them for super cheap. Now that I have started Kimkins I just peel the skin and any fat I can off before I cook them. I plan on getting another family pack come grocery day.
While the thigh might not be the leanest part, any part of a chicken is still better than red meat, or bacon! I recall reading that any bird but duck is ok. No specifics as to parts. |

Hey thanks Jana & MFit for the well wishes. Thankfully I'm feeling better. At least well enough to continue on with this WOE.
As far as the rules are concerned MFit, I think you're only supposed to have lean meats. For two days last week I had thighs w/no skin and it didn't stall me. To me, 6g is lean. Just my opinion. |
