is anyone cranky??

Hello! Does anyone get cranky on Kimkins or K/E? I have been on K/E for 6 days, (this is my 6th), and today I am feeling so mean. I have done a great job not cheating and I have lost weight, but I am very cranky...does anyone else get this way with a lack of yummy, sugar-y foods???

Yes, I believe it is from carb withdrawal. Eating carbs boosts serotonin and at first you will get cranky. I was like this on Atkins induction also and whenever you first get your carbs really low, and I know Kimkins is total carbs not net, then you will be in withdrawal. It stinks!!! I am in it right now, BUT it should go away, I remember when I was on induction and it went away in about a week - week and a half. So, no worries!!

I am a Witch with a capital B. I have been on Plan for 32 days. At first I thought it was cause I had a hard time w/ ZERO alcohol. So, I did induction but a couple times I had a few Carb free drinks. When my cravings for Carbs and Pastries Finally left I was able to give up the occaisional drink, too. It's been 2 weeks now. I used to drink 3x/week.

On top of that, for some reason I have been on this Plan 1 month and had my TOM for 15 days of it ( 3 days ago I started my second cycle since Induction!!) SO Mine must be Hormonal. I bought some pamprin it says it elps with irritability and bloat, But it made me SOOO Sleepy...

I hope I cheer up soon...

When fat stores are burned, estrogen is released.

If you basically feel like you're experiencing PMS, it most likely means you're burning fat.

I just read that to my Husband--he's been wondering why I've been so crabby lately!

Low blood glucose is a well known cause of crankiness.

This is day 3 for me on K/E and I was very cranky today but I know it's not from the sugar because I'm not a sugar person. I try to keep my sugars low and use splenda or sugar free things. I really miss my veggie.

Yesterday, I was meaner than a junkyard dog...today I'm much better. I bought a Venti Starbucks Black Iced Tea (unsweetened) and it greatly improved my mood today.
