WOE: my own low carb/sometimes lowfat plan
Start Date: May 21, 2007
Kimkins question

Hello, I was wondering if any of you here have followed this plan and achieved the same success and rate of weight loss that Kimmer did?

In other words, does her plan work for other people too?

I know these may sound like silly questions, but our bodies seem to be unique enough that we have to sometimes tweak a plan to make it work for us.

Thanks

Stats: GOAL!!! Maintaining with a smile!
WOE: Maintenance Mediterranean diet
It works for me!!! I've lost 20lbs in 21 days, so I'm staying on this plan till I get to about 5lbs from my goal!

I've stopped weighing myself every day, so I won't know what I've lost this week until saturday...

I decided to do Kimkins (actually I'm doing Kimmers Experiment, K/E) because I am an impatient woman and I like to see fast results. HOWEVER: It's boring and can get to you especially in the time before you get into deep ketosis. BUT: I don't mind the boredom, I prefer to lose weight and be bored, than stall and eat all kinds of wonderful foods!

For now this is what works for me. I'll start adding in more veggies, fats and things such as cheese nearer my goal.

I'm hoping to be able to maintain on a diet lower in fats and fairly high in protein and medium carbs (around 80-100)... We'll see when I get there!

Well, I've only been doing this a couple weeks.

I started doing the KE eating in order to break my carb addiction. I'm returning to low carb after falling horribly off the wagon for 2 years. My eating was out of control and I knew that I needed to do something pretty harsh to kill my appetite.

It worked. I'm almost never hungry now. I eat my meals only because its time to eat and I have to (I do tend to get a little spacey). I've lost about 6 pounds in 10 days.

I think I can do this for a while because my appetite is so very low. I also hate eating all the fats on the regular LC diet, so this is much more appealing to me.

Kimmer started well into the 300s........so 77 pounds in 77 days isnt possible for a lot of people..

Today is my second day of kimmer's plan. I am not hungry between meals, the sugar tooth has not raised its ugly head and planning my meals is easy. I am going to stay on it for 2 weeks and report my results then.

Help!!

Hi Everyone,

I keep reading this reference to Kimkins or the Kimmer Diet...or K/E..

Can someone please explain it to me? What exactly is it ?!

P.S. I finally figured out that m/e is meat and eggs. I'm so embarrassed.

THANKS A LOT!!!
