Question for Kimmer...
Hi Kimmer,
I wasn't sure where to post this so I posted it in 2 spots! Sorry for the repeat. First off, let me say that all of your posts are incredibly inspirational. I have been back and forth between different plans over the last 5 years and am finally trying to figure out what works for me and my lifestyle and my weight! I have found that your advice has helped me tremendously in figuring some of that out. I am looking to do your meat/egg approach for at least the next 1-3 weeks. I actually started this morning and have had a great day so far. The unfortunate result of this is that I believe I have developed a slight allergy to eggs. Regardless of how they are prepared, after I eat an egg(s) I have terrible heartburn for 3-4 hours. It is very uncomfortable and I'm not sure what I can do. I'd rather not live off of some medication that treats heartburn for this. What I am hoping to get from you is your thoughts on what else I can eat alongside meat. I do not feel comfortable eating just meat. I do not think that would make me feel healthy at all. Plus, I am very active and would like to have a small variety in my food while trying this. Do you have any thoughts? Possibly cottage or ricotta cheese? Low fat/low carb yogurt? Thanks! |

I'm not Kimmer, and wonder if eggs are responsible for some of my facial rashes BUT ... I love eggs, and before I give them up entirely, I'd test to see whether the problem lies in the yolk or the white. Moreover, knowing that the source is different, I'd hunt down some duck, goose or quail eggs (Hi, I just ate 13 eggs for breakfast and I'm still hungry!
).However, one thing I wouldn't do is continue to take an allergen into my body and then take a medicine to treat the allergen. Danger lies that way, and besides, your body might retain water in order to dilute the allergens (toxins). You can't lose weight that way, but you can lose health.

Thank you for your thoughts.
I haven't thought of trying to decipher whether it is the whites or yolks. I might try that...or I might just cut them out entirely by themselves. I agree about medication, I do not want to have to take something regularly that I can avoid. |
