![]() This is pretty much what I eat every day (brace yourself for the excitment): Breakfast - Yogurt (whatever has aspartame, usually lowfat), diet drink or tea Snack - None, not a morning eater Lunch - Tuna salad w/ chopped mixed lettuce, or fast food salad w/ chicken, or Romaine lettuce rollups w/ ham or chicken & salsa Snack - Usually fruit, whatever's on sale, sometimes a small banana Dinner - Meat or chicken, 2 servings of veggies, maybe corn or small potato Snack - No eating after dinner, unless a Crystal Light slushee or popsicle |

![]() Kayjwag, I might have a small bite of someone's dessert at a restaurant. Maybe. I don't keep stuff like that in my house because I can't trust myself. (sad but true!) I do buy treats for my foster kids, but I pick stuff I don't like. Ditto for ice cream. I love sweets, I love ice cream, but a serving is ONLY the size of a jello cup! For 16-20 carbs, 300 calories? Ha!!! Yeah, right ... My weak point are sweets and I have to protect me from me. |

Kimmer, I was wondering if you believe it is possible to lose 50lbs in 6weeks (short-term goal) if I do your program (Stillman version) to the "t", no cheats, no slip up? I currently weigh 276lbs. Or is that too big of a goal too fast, and if it is, what do you feel is the average possible weightloss per week at my current weight.
Also, how much water is recommended on this program. Thank you. |

Your body will do the best it can if you give it a chance. Decide today that you're going to focus on lean protein and small amounts of salad veggies. Use only enough fat to make it work ... skip quiches or anything doused in cream, butter or cheese. The first week loss will be substantial (unless you "carbed up" beforehand). The second week will show you what your body can do, weight-loss-wise. At your current weight you can count on 4 lbs/week easy (probably double that the first week). |

Kimmer, thanks for the response. I will definitely take your advise. I do have another question, is fried foods ok or a no no. I was wondering about fried chicken wingettes.

Rather than frying, how about oven roasting at high temp (done in about 15-20 minutes at 450 degrees)? The deal with very low carb is that you lose your appetite. If you're "carbed up" it may be up to 5 days, but it happens. Then, fried wingettes aren't too much of a problem because you won't want to eat many! ![]() If you have an older Atkins book, read about "ketosis" and appetite suppression, or do a search on this BB for "no hungry, "no appetite", "feel nauseous", etc. courtesy of 'real' ketosis. Good luck! |
