Health improvements?

Hi! I'm hoping some of you will share how your health has improved (or not) since starting juddd. I had all my blood work done and I'm looking forward to finding out how this woe affects everything when I have the tests repeated in three months.

WOE: Whatever plan keeps me around 150 lbs!
My health is worse, but I'm a freak of nature.

Many have reported improvements in asthma, diabetes, arthritis, skin conditions, general energy . . . on and on! I truly believe in the power of the SIRTs, but I'm a non-responder in many ways (medications, anesthesia, supplements, etc.), so don't go by my experience.

My uncontrolled diabetes is now in remission. I use to take an injection 2x per day and my A1c was 9.8- I haven't been on meds in over 2 years and I have no signs or symptoms of diabetes. I also have a great deal more energy.

1. My seasonal allergies are worlds better. Not completely gone, but so much better.
2. Along with that, my skin is way less itchy. I've always been itchy, since I was a kid. It rarely bothers me anymore.
3. Facial redness gone. I never was diagnosed with rosacea, but I suspect I may have it. I used to get flushed often, especially when hot or stressed. Now it's rare.
4. I have always had lots of headaches, ever since I was a teen. I can go months now w/o a headache, or if I do have a tiny one, it fades away before I even think about taking a pain reliever.

I only had one cold last winter and don't remember the last time I had stomach flu. When you teach you build up immunity, but mine is even stronger now. My seasonal allergies are almost non-existent and I have more energy.

I wish JUDDD kept me from getting colds the way it seems to for all of you! I still get colds regularly

JUDDD did help my A1C drop to a 4.8, and my triglycerides to under 100, which I couldn't get lowered even on vlc.

All of my blood work improved. Lower cholesterol, good triglycerides, lower BP, etc. I've always had low BG and that didn't change.

This is strange, but my fingernails and toe nails are better! A lovely pink with very white tips. They used to have white spots in some and occasional black stripes and ridges. Now they are lovely.

My crazy carb cravings are gone and that is definitely an improvement in health. I can eat any kind of carbs now, even potato chips, without that feeling of not being able to stop or just wanting more, more, more.

I bought a small bag of mini chocolate bars to take on the airplane last week because they looked good. I only wanted and only ate one! Who is this new woman!

At my sister's house there was a big bowl of chips and french onion dip right in front of me. I ate 3 chips and had enough! Unbelievable for me!!!

I have exercise-induced asthma. Staying away from dairy makes it about 85% better. The best though is getting up and running after a DD- I can breathe so freely it feels like the air just slides in and out of my lungs.

Gina - how far do you run? I am a marathon runner but have had to take a break due to health stuff (now being tested for hypothyroidism and hormonal imbalances). I'm going to ease back in once my thyroid stuff is optimal. I'm not sure I would have energy to run in a DD...

The morning AFTER DDs I usually run about 3 miles. I feel the difference, but it isn't too big of a deal. Running the morning OF a DD is fine because I am running on yesterday's food anyway.

I am coming back after a surgery, but I was a distance runner before (mostly halfs). I couldn't do more than 4-5 miles without crashing after a DD. It was OK if I ate and gave myself some time to digest (I am an empty-stomach runner).

I like running the morning of an UD (even though it is a little harder because of the previous DD) because if I am extra hungry it isn't a big deal.

My hay fever seems to have disappeared when in California. That is huge as it usually means I can't go outside and often just have to go to bed. I don't suffer from it in Hawaii.

I'm really impressed that my blood sugar has vastly improved in less than 2 weeks of juddd WITH CARBS. Unbelievable. My a.m. fasting (always my the hardest for me to control) has gone from crazy high 190s to 112 today and I'm betting it will be under 100 soon which is something I could never achieve with low carb alone. Heck, I couldn't get the morning fasting number under 100 when I was on insulin during my pregnancies. Loving juddd

Holy crap Carly! I had no idea your bg was ever that high. That must have been a very scary time for you. And all that from just sleep-eating? JUDDD is really incredible. I know a lot of endo's would probably advise against it because of hypo episodes, but it's really helped level out my highs and lows.

Well, the sleepwalk eating beast is evil. I'm afraid I'll have that for life, so luckily DW is pretty good at hiding stuff. If it isn't hidden it's usually gone in the morning.

380 was my average, but it could soar into the 400's easily. When I had my spine surgery I was on insulin for a while with whatever else I was taking, but eventually I settled on the injectable Byeatta.

I told my endo what I was doing and since it was working he wasn't going to mess with it I guess. I must admit that I started juddd w/o consulting him, which probably was a bad idea, but I guess it worked out

I only see him 1x a year now and I think my next check up with him is October.
