First day Success

So today was my first DD and I can pretty much declare success. Yeah me lol. I was afraid of failing but I made it to 400 calories and not a point over. I just kept reminding myself that whatever I wanted could wait until tomorrow. I didnt worry about low carb which is my preferred woe.

morning: coffee with a bit of almond milk
12 noon: 1 chobani peach yogurt 140 calories
3pm: 7 flax tortilla chips (a la trader joes) 130 calories
salsa 10 calories
dinner: bag of popcorn 100 calories
grand total: 380 - allowed 398

I get almost 2000 calories tomorrow - that seems so daunting.

WTG!

I'm always so shocked to hear so many people say they can't get in their UD calories! I can put away 2000 no problem, and more! I'm sure you'll be able to do it - it's so important.

Awesome job! I was shocked that I stayed under on my first DD, too. Once you find what works best to keep you satisfied, they are easy (usually).

Our weights are similar and I don't get anywhere near 2000 calories for UD. I'm jealous. Enjoy every one of them if you can!

Congrats on your first DD! I can't believe you get 2000 calories on your UD. I'm very jealous. When I was your weight I only got around 1,600-1,7000 IIRC.

Well done Smurstep.
UDs are a great opportunity to use good fats like avocados, nuts, oily fish and full fat yogurt. Maybe followed by real ice cream?

WTG!!!! A wonderful DD is difficult at first. But, Dawn is right.....once you get used to them they are easy for most. I just like the idea of not having to worry about what to eat so much! Enjoy your 2000 calories!!!

You guys had me concerned that maybe my numbers were off so I went back to recheck it and I only get 1728 (booo!) on my UD and 348 on DD. Oh well! thats fine - glad I went back to check.

BTW: I was 165.4 or something like that yesterday morning and down to 162.8 this morning. Going forward I'll weigh in on mornings after a DD.
