I lost 5 lbs in 4 days on the potato hack, so I'm a convert now. I'll do one more day and then back into rotations. I'll experiment with DDs being potatoes only. There's 3 ways to use the hack...I'll have to post my findings on the potato hack thread soon, and on ***, where a guru potato haker, "Tatertot" posts. If it weren't for doing it his way, I don't think I'd have been successful.

Partyof7 - If you're curious, I'd first read "The Potato Diet' on the vegetablefarm website. It has the "purist version" that convinced me to try it. The several threads on this board discouraged me - seems it wasn't working for many people (for all kinds of reasons) or they had intermittent success. Some were doing variations, so I wanted to do the pure version for my trial run to give it the best try I could. You're welcome to PM me if you have questions.

Did a 5 mile walk last night which really helped I think. Otherwise the number would be higher today. Very glad for another DD. DH has a work dinner to go to, so I can easily just read a book without any temptation around.
Right now I hope that keeping up rotations faithfully will prevent me from gaining back what I lost. I realize that losing 7 lbs in a month is a lot, and I should expect some time for stabilization, but I just don't want the scale to creep back up!

I've achieved my goal range of 110-115lbs (i.e., DD-UD range within a week). As most of you know, this is not a weight goal as such, it's a body fat goal. (I want to reduce to 25% body fat from my current approx. 30%.) I'll see if it's practical to reduce it the range to 105-110lbs which would put me at approx 23-25%.

Not as bad as I thought it would be, I ate carbs on all my UD's so I expected way more of a gain. Plus I spent over 12 hours driving and riding yesterday and usually have water retention. I did notice my tummy is more bloated I'm guessing from the wheat.
Still with just a few days left to the month I my goal isn't going to happen this go round.

August 17th (UD): 170.8 (wow, two pounds lost after five days on JUDD!)
August 18th (DD): 171.5
August 19th (UD): 169.4 (three pounds now! and FINALLY I see the 160s!)
August 20th (DD): 170.1
August 21-24: TOM; was on vacation & didn't follow JUDD or weigh myself.
August 25th (MD): 175.9 (eek! Hope this is mostly water weight).
August 26th (DD): 172.1
August 27th (UD): 170.5
August 28th (DD): 169.6 (only three days left til my goal of 168!)
