Anybody having a DD today?

I didn't see a DD thread for today and just wanted to chat.

So far I've only had coffee with 60 calories of half and half. Lots of water, took my vitamins and pterostilbene. I really think that helps me.

I'm going to hold out on eating as long as possible and then have lean protein when/if I need it.

It will be and/or cottage cheese, a 4 oz lean hamburger (170 calories); protein shake (130 calories).

Waiting until later in the day to eat on both UDs and DDs has been working well for me and I feel like the old appetite in shrinking.

I am, Yam, and praising the filling qualities of soup!

I saw a youtube video of someone poaching an egg in a cup of water in the microwave and now I want to try that. Maybe tonight....

Okay, what she did was to take a large coffee mug and fill it 1/3 of the way with water, crack an egg into it, and microwave it for 1 minute. That's it. It sounds pretty easy.

I just Googled it and found the You Tube video. Awesome!

I would have never known you need to use cold water so the egg does not explode.

I'm definitely going to do this. Maybe even today! Thanks for the info!

I should also add, she then put the egg on top of a piece of toast that she had spread avocado on. I think I might see tomorrow's breakfast on the horizon.

I usually pierce the egg yolk with one tine of a fork before microwaving and that keeps it from exploding without compromising the runniness of the yolk. However, I have trouble getting the white to cook all the way through without overcooking the yolk, so I'm hoping this method will help with all that.

Will Do! I'm still holding off on eating any solid food today. Planning to hold out as long as I can with just drinking lots of water. This morning I had lots of energy, but right now I'm feeling lazy and lethargic! Maybe a nap is in order.

I got a lot of work done, so I don't mind taking a break.

I've had some mushrooms, celery, and diet jello. Thinking about some lamb broth later, but for now, I am trying to hold off. I don't want to get into 'snacky' mode.

I'm back and going to try to start posting menus regularly again. Even though they are usually pretty standard and boring... It's the habit that keeps me on track.

B: coffee
L:
S: coffee, Greek yogurt
D: chicken, green beans
S: coffee
