Question - Mon, Wed, Friday DD

This Monday was my first dd and my first week, wondering….What do you experienced Judds do on the weekends? I can see getting thru the day on Friday, having Friday night be a bit tough…then UD on Saturday - Sunday?

I'd like to keep the M,W,F schedule… any thoughts…

(this may be the oldest question in the judd world, yes?)

If you're in the induction period then most of us followed the alternate day rotations for that time. I switched to 4:3 after induction because I have sports and other commitments at the weekend.

I have a UD and MD or high DD over the weekend rather than 2 UDs.

Yes- one of the oldest questions

Most of us found that losses were best with EOD rotations. There are people who have fixed DDs MWF, but I think they will agree that loss rate was slower.

If EOD isn't sustainable than MWF is better, but if you get frustrated with slower loss than EOD may be a better bet.

I've been doing M,W,F this time around on JUDDD. I have real trouble doing DD's on weekends, and no trouble at all with DD's when I'm at work. I calculated my calories so that they're lower during the week, and higher on the 2 UD's on the weekend, but I don't think it's working for me anymore. I'm going to switch this weekend to EOD, but any weekend DD's will be higher calories than normal for me. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to do a Saturday DD, so it'll be a bit of an experiment. Maybe I'll end up with more of a 4:3 one week, EOD the next week situation.

When I did JUDDD (for 2 years), I kept M,W, F as DDs. On the weekend, I had ONE UD and ONE MD--it varied whether my UD was Sat. or Sunday, depending in my schedule. I did not do a DD on the weekend.

I might follow that plan Leo. I really like a set structure, and I'm dreading a DD on a weekend enough that I think I'll end up rebelling. A MD I can do.

M, W, F DDs does not work for me. I need EOD to lose. 4:3 or even 5:2 work great for maintenance but if I want to lose, I need EOD.

The nurse who did my health screening yesterday asked me how I had lost 30+ lbs, and I say EOD (fasting). She said, "Oh you're doing 5:2?" Apparently it's pretty well known now lol. I explained that I was doing eod before 5:2 became common, and she said, "You should have written a book."

i don't see why this wouldn't work. having an odd number of days in a week always frustrated me. (until i got off 100 lbs, i was too intensely trying to get the bulk of the weight off to veer away too far from eod.)

now, for me, i think of it like balancing a check-book: if i eat too much one day, i can compensate for that on the next day (or the day after). i really don't think of JUDDD as a two day diet but at the whole picture (a week before through to a week later). works for me.
