I'm finally seeing the results...

...of all my exercise.

My weight has remained the same 121-124lb, but my body fat has gone from 24% to 20%. I know that my Aria scale may not measure body fat totally accurately, but it has gone from a pretty consistent 24% to a pretty consistent 20%. At the very least I know the trend is going in the right direction. My Aria/Fitbit also says that I have gone from 92 pounds lean body mass to 98 pounds.

I guess, since I weigh the same that I lost fat and replaced it with muscle :dunno:

Happy Dance for Carly!!!

Carly 04-25-2014 03:36 AM

Thanks everyone!
My exercise routine is brisk walking with sprints (HIIT) either at the track or on a treadmill. I do this for 30- 45 minutes and then use the machines for arms and abs. I want to do more with my legs but that hurts my back at this time.

I also take longer walks for 1 hour and over at a steady pace, but brisk.

I highly recommend getting a Fitbit.
I have found that it's been a great motivational technique and really tracks lots of data. I have the Fitbit One and love it!!! I have the Aria scale which is sold separately, but also syncs wirelessly and the fitbit dashboard blends all my data from the scale and fitbit together.

Carly, I can't remember if your Fitbit is tracking your sleep, or if so, how well it tracks. My Jawbone SUCKS in that department. I wake up 5-15 times per night and it only tracks if I physically sit up. Sometimes it doesn't even track that, because I take medication in the middle of the night, and more than half the time it says I slept all night without waking at all. It also sometimes tells me I'm idle when I'm walking around a store or something, so I'm really questioning its accuracy.

My Fitbit One is extremely accurate. It even measures restlessness. Of course, I get up and walk a lot, too

I get a blue/ green mark for restless, a pink mark for waking up and pink line for walking around and of course when I walk around it tells me how many steps. So for me based on the amount of steps I know where I walked to.

Carly 04-25-2014 01:54 PM

I wish it told me if I ate and how many calories if I did. It's good, but not that good.

KeirasMom 04-25-2014 02:04 PM

I know what I'm asking for for my next birthday. :D

calichris 04-25-2014 02:40 PM

My Jawbone died. :( I got it refurbished, and loved it while it worked, but I lost the charger. I ordered a new wall charger, and it fried the battery or something ... now it won't charge at all. Disappointing. So if I got another one I think I'd go with another brand like fitbit.

Carly, still so happy for you that you have lost fat and gained muscle! It's awesome to improve body composition.

windygap 04-25-2014 04:03 PM

Way to go Carly. That is great news.

Nope, naturally wavy. I blow it straight about half the time other days I let it curl up.
