Thanks all, we'll see what the ortho surgeons says in a few weeks. Not much I can do at this point.

Party, I'm so sorry you're hurting, but I agree with Kissa, focus on getting well. Juddd is patient.

Hi Carly - No..its an old method for gall stones (knew about that long ago) and when I looked on net for ks help, a lot of people said it worked for ks. I am unsure how *sheepish*, but was in so much pain I figured it cokdn't hurt.

Good news is, I think the ks has broken up. I feel way better and nothing has been strained out of my urine. So, maybe it worked?

It was probably the lemon juice, if it was anything. Olive oil for gall stones (kinda) makes sense - bile is used to digest fat, a large slug of fat (oil) would (in theory) cause a large release of bile from the gall bladder which could then (in theory) purge gall stones.

Just to say that I'm still here. My hands and arms in general are still being a pest but they'll recover.

Still no report from the sarcopenia-related labs as they now seem to have been delayed by the Easter vacation. We're now heading into May which has 2 Bank Holiday weekends (public holidays) so altho' I'm not concerned, this may delay the results even further.

I'm out of touch with things and don't know if I'll be able to catch up but hope things are well for my JUDDD BUDDs whom I miss a lot.

You all are so sweet. The relief was short lived.
I am going in to the ER as soon as bus sytems up and running- on pain meds and will not drive. Just trying to keep my sanity until then. I appreciate all of your care and concern. TMI just peeing too much blood and tissue out - and even on pain pills - still in pain.
This year has not been very smooth, but I know that things will get better soon.

Party, what kind of stones do you get? I get Uric Acid stones (the kind that are spiky) and the absolute best thing to do is drink water, lots and lots and lots of water. I don't know much about the other types. With mine, if stay very well hydrated, they don't form. If I get dehydrated, they form, but drinking lots of water not only helps to flush them out, but also the pH in the water can help to dissolve them. Not the same with the other types, I fear.

Oh Party! I hope you got to the ER okay and they could give you something to ease your pain! I know that pain! Mine pretty much resolved all on its own, but it took several days of fluids, rest and lots of pain meds to get through it. And isn't straining your pee just the funnest thing ever? NOT.

Melinda, so sorry about the news on your knee. I hope you can get that surgery real soon - it will change your life! My mom had it 10 years ago and is younger at 80 than she felt at 60. Like Christina said, the recovery is not easy, but it's so worth it in the long run.

Happy belated Anniversary Dawn!

I'm sitting on my patio again this morning, in the sun, and it feel magnificent. Before long it will be too hot to do this. 90* this afternoon, and 101 in about a week, they say. UCK!

Sirtain, I want some of that fresh garden salad!

Erin - congratulations on your new decade!!! Woooooo!

My area survived the tornado threats (we never left watch status), though the devastation in Arkansas was too close for comfort. This morning, I am hearing reports of friends and acquaintances with damage. My mom, who lives in Missouri, called me last night from her bathroom, where she had holed up with her phone, cushions, food/water, flashlight, and purse (she is kind of a "bag lady," even in her own home). We talked so long, all the sirens quit and the rain stopped. But it was a nice visit. Then she had to go put all that stuff away.

Thanks everyone, I needed that. Don't feel very encouraged in real life. Here's to hoping can fit back into ALL my size 12s by June!!!!! I had my best down day ever yesterday. Under 500 For the first time. I started off bad with an attitude problem I have had last week or so. Internal pity party every DD. I told myself this.would.never work if I felt sorry about the poor girl who lives in richest ,most well fed country, in history , missing a couple of meals. I thought about how good discipline this is, beyond health benefits. And I got past it.

Also I had a salad prep I'd like to share. If you have food processor or mandolin, slice your veggies with that. We were low on veggies, so I used our mandolin to very finely slice a couple of carrots and two or three radishes then added previously cooked 2 oz of chicken and small dollop of ranch and it really felt like a huge Salad!

Oh! I just wish I could give everyone a big ol' !!

Party, my whole family has had kidney stones! I hope they can get yours broken up so you can pass them!! I spent 3 days in the hospital once. And my youngest son has had many hospital stays & lithotripsys'! I've had 4 babies & nothing hurts much worse than kidney stones!

Erinisme, I'm so happy you're in a new decade!! Good for you!!

Yennie, some people are just jerks!!! They don't deserve you spending one more second thought on them!!

Melinda, I'm sorry you have to go thru knee replacement! Ouch!!

Hi, Kissa!!

EmmaLiza, so glad to hear that you made it thru the storms & so did your Mom! My 2 guys went thru one here last May while I was away staying with my Mother in the hospital. I was so scared for them! We lost a lot of windows, trees, a couple of doors & our roof & some roofs on a couple of barns/out buildings! But, my guys were safe even tho the power was out for a few hours.

I know there are others I missed! I have some catching up to do. I've been going to a journal of another of our members here & hoping to learn how to NOT over eat. But, I stop by here, too! Everyone have a great evening!

Adding, I took a tumble on our back steps a little while ago. I had gone out to gather eggs & lost my footing(I guess?) I dropped my egg basket & broke all but 1 egg! I think I'm ok..............I'll know in the morning if I can't get out of bed what I hurt the most........knees or back!

Shari, ouch on that fall! I hope you're not too sore tomorrow, sweetie!! XO

Erin, yay on the scale love! You can do it!!

LCG, I'm so jealous of your lovely weather...and I'd take your super heat, too!

Emma, I'm glad you & your mom are both ok. So much damage with these horrible tornadoes.

Slow, so glad you posted girly! we miss you when you're not around!

Thanks for the knee empathy girls! I am not in daily pain yet, so it's strange to think I'm at a place needing surgery. We'll see what the doc says.

Yennie I find it bizarre that people can behave that way, I soooo value my vets. As you say, the loss is all theirs.

When we go to Peru my cats go into a Cattery that I like. I book them a cage next to a field with horses, chickens and all the wildlife of the English countryside. Of course being elderly ladies they spend most of their time asleep, I guess it makes me feel less guilty leaving them.

I have lost 4 pound in 4 days, my body was clearly happy to lose this weight. Another DD today, I love them.

Must get on.

Just to say that yesterday evening I went to my local cinema's live broadcast of A Winter's Tale - the ballet commissioned by the Royal Opera House.

Yet again, it was an extraordinary experience. Sumptuous costumes and very clever stage sets: I actually covet several of the clothing items . The music and dance were excellent and presented without being pridefully clever IYSWIM. I was sceptical that A Winter's Tale could be adapted like this but thrilled to be proved wrong. It throughly deserves to be an instant classic and enter the repertoire of other ballet companies around the world.

The level of acting as well as the technical brilliance of the dance was a sight to behold. Watching Leontes develop the madness of jealousy was genuinely distressing and held a horrid fascination as the disintegration happened in front of us. The dancer (Watson) was in a genuine lather and in a wet flop of his broiling emotions - and you could felt that you could smell the reek of jealous rage and his corrupted thoughts. The moment when Leontes ordered his newborn daughter to be abandoned made several in the audience gasp - yet, he still managed to make us feel for him when, a little later, he snatched up the body of his dead son and held him close.

Yet again, I just can't express just how delighted I am that these live broadcasts from the Royal Opera House, the New York Met, the Bolshoi Ballet, the National Theatre etc. have been made available to us. It is such a privilege to see these works performed by such world class talents and all so local to me.

I truly agree Slow, as you know we are big theatre goers but we are fortunate a. to live in London and b. to be able afford the tickets.

These brad cats have opened up the world of theatre, opera and ballet to so many more people. I love it.

We are going to see 'Sunny Afternoon' at our local theatre this evening, written by Ray Davis of the Kinks, should be fun.

Yesterday I watched 'The Armstrong Lie', a documentary about the Lance Armstrong doping controversy. Interesting look at the situation, and I learned some stuff about cycling as a sport. I didn't realize the amount of power plays, mentally, and culturally, that go on during the race. And the main story, of how the press for victory at all costs, was fascinating.

Just popping in to say hello and I've been MIA today. I had jury duty all day today and the free Wi-Fi provided at the courthouse was of such low strength my tablet wouldn't hold onto the signal. Then I got chosen for a panel right before lunch and have to go back in the morning, as they haven't gotten through questioning all of us yet. I really would prefer not to serve on this trial, which could go for 12 court days, but over the course of the next 30 days. I'm pretty close to the end of the panel, so hoping I'll get released tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Fingers crossed for you LCG. I've never had jury duty, but I know feeling confined and waiting around makes me feel nutty.

It's pouring out today and tonight is the bf's birthday dinner. We're going into the city and we have to get dressed up. Wish us luck! Eeek
