That's awful about all the runners. I checked the news stories, but there weren't many details. They mentioned heat in Raleigh, but maybe it is just too soon to know.

I think it is. Last I read, they've not yet released names or causes.
Its a tough month for runners, with Boston this month as well. Lots of blue & yellow out there to support BAA. Sadness.

You're just a day behind us, Carly. I turned the heat back on today.

Just finished my taxes. THREE trips to the library for forms and computer time. I am not good at this.

So sorry to hear about the runners deaths. Awful! Be careful, all you JB runners!

Cici, taxes no fun! Glad you got 'em finished.

It was 99* here one day last week. Today was a beautiful 86*. Sad to hear so many of you are still having winter weather! Enough!

I'm up late to see a bit of the lunar eclipse tonight. It's 11:07 and you can see a bit of shadow starting at the bottom edge. It's a tad chilly to sit out there and watch (and a bit like watching paint dry) so I'll see how long I can stay awake and just step outside every 15 minutes or so until it gets interesting. I'm not usually a science geek, but for some reason this sounded interesting to me this time.

Just wanted to check in and say hello. Hope everyone enjoys their day.

The weather matches my mood so I was actually kind of excited to see the rain this morning. Plus my car is dirty and it needed a semi-car wash. I'm commuting back and fourth to CT this week so by the time I make it to my sister's house after rush hour traffic I'm definitely not up for computer time. Leaving right now for my hour and twenty minute trip to work. I am definitely grateful for my seven mile commute to work.

I had thought about doing that LCG. I actually forgot, but I got some good rest for a change and it was worth it. Plus, it was cloudy here like it is nearly every time there is something interesting to watch in the sky. Hope you were able to see something interesting.

DH hired an accountant firm for the business, and they're doing our taxes this year. They are filing an extension on our behalf, but I'm a wee bit nervous that I haven't had to sign anything yet.

Weather's been quite warm here, but I've seen no changes in my Raynaud's. I'm pretty certain this round is stress-induced. Ugh.

Keira wanted to stay up for the blood moon/eclipse last night, but I just wasn't up to it, and DH had to leave at 4:00 this morning to go to LA for the the taping of The Price Is Right. We didn't have an option for Keira during the taping, so she's going to Zoo Camp this week while I work (Spring Break). DH is taking a friend. I hope he gets picked as a contestant!

I got my new glasses yesterday, finally! They're a little lighter than I remembered from when I ordered them. Lighter in color, not weight. I'm not quite sure how I feel about them. BUT, I got sunglasses, too! It's been years since I've had sunglasses! Yes, I'm easily amused.

I didn't even know there was an eclipse last night. Doesn't really matter I guess, we had a layer of coastal fog.

I didn't realize The Price is Right is still on TV either (sounds like I need to pay more attention to the world around me). You may have a house full of fabulous prizes soon!

Lisa, glad you could check in. You're so busy right now and the commute only adds to that. You're a wonderful sister and aunt. Take care, hon!

Dawn, I sure hope DH gets picked for PIR. Is he hoping to? That would be amazing if he could win big! Too bad you didn't get to go too. The stress induced Raynaud's is a disappointment, I'm sure. I'm still hoping you'll be able to inch your calories up even further over time. You seem to be maintaining pretty good here.

Melinda, get your butt on down to AZ, girl! I have my back door open this morning.

I did get to see the maximum total eclipse last night, and the blood moon. It was pretty cool. Didn't take any pics though. The most dramatic part, in my opinion, was when only the very tiniest edge of the moon was illuminated. That was about 12:15 here. It looked kind of like an eyeball. The blood moon was interesting too. I would have liked to stay up and see the light start to appear again, but that would have meant staying up until at least 1:23, and I just wasn't up for that. I'm glad I got to see what I did though!

DH did not get chosen to go to the podium or on stage. Since it was a special episode, honoring firefighters, though, all audience members got a prize. He called me, but I don't know what I'm allowed to say before it airs, so I won't divulge details until I clear it with him first.

Got the go ahead from DH. It was not part of the non-disclosure. Everyone in the audience got 2 nights in Las Vegas and tickets to a comedy show. What works out great is that they expire the week after we were already planning to be there for a couple of nights. So now we get our room for free and get to go to a show.

Dawn how fun!

Primal/paleo is going well.
I'm a little underwhelmed at the availability of organic/not overly processed foods locally though.
I was looking for chicken sausage without nitrates, and the only one I could find worked out to be about $4 per link (2.5oz). No thanks! I can grind chicken breast and season it myself and make patties for a lot less.
It's easier to find organic produce, and it's not any more expensive than the other stuff, but meats and stuff like that, wow. Sticker shock lol.

Fun Dawn! Well deserved, and what a perfect prize.

Dottie, it is an additional thing to deal with, trying to find appropriate foods for our WOE's that don't break the bank. I'll bet you will ferret out some good sources to use, over time. Good luck!

Dawn, what a great prize! Will you be staying on the strip?

I've lost 16 since Jan. I'm not really JUDDDing but kind of. Eating to my hunger and I find that my calories are quite different each day. I loosely track them. I just can't do anything I have to stick to rigidly. I get diet fatigue very easily. I'm just trying to eat healthy food and eat when I'm hungry. My worst problem was eating at night, which I haven't done for a long time now. I wake up fairly hungry and get some protein and good fats into me and that holds me most of the day.

Made a small pot of ratatouille this morning. It has been a while since I indulged in it (three different nightshades-woohoo!) and I am really looking forward to having it with dinner tonight. And I MAY have had a little taster bowl this morning.

Middlest is coming home from college this evening, for the Easter weekend. This means I need to pull my sewing room (aka Middlest's room) together for her to stay in. I have eight blocks laid out on the floor, that need to be assembled, and then I will need to sweep, but that's it. Not too shabby. Usually I have to spend an hour, tidying and moving.
