I did really well yesterday on my DD working a 12 hr shift at the hospital. I stayed under the 353, but not a great day on scale. It may be from the broth or a pickle I ate. I could've drank more water I guess.

April goal is still uncertain as I don't have new information about the sarcopenia, so this may be subject to change. I would like to lose some of the android fat (lower stomach) and maybe some more visceral fat (tho' as my natural waist is currently 24-25" I'm not sure where that is). I shall attempt to do this without fiddling too much with the macronutrient amounts that keep me migraine free, nor undoing the improvements of the reverse dieting.

I weigh after DDs.


1 April: 116lbs
3 April: 116lbs
5 April: 116.4lbs

7 April: 116.2lbs

Kayaking tonight Then no more scheduled until Saturday. But, after Easter, there'll be more evening sessions during the week and I might be able to find another set of pool sessions to attend on Sundays. So, I should be able to be on some sort of water up to 5 days a week, if I wish.

Being on the water in the evening means, however, that I'm on the lookout for T&T recommendations about midge/mosquito repellents as I'm deeply attractive to them and they will pass up the chance of nipping other people to snack on me. I have very sensitive skin and react to lots of even allegedly non-allergenic products so I'm pretty desperate for guidance. I can not wear anything with alcohol or alcohol mimicking drying agents as they blister my skin.

I finally feel like it's working! New low for me. I hit 182.2 on 3/22 and haven't been close again since. I'm liking the way my graph is looking too.

April's a bit of a bummer so far. If I can stick to my DD calories today I may not weigh-in tomorrow, since I know I'll see a gain regardless. Just trying to stay motivated! I was losing so well and easily before, I'm hoping this is just my body catching up for that missed period last month and I will go back to losing again next week.

Hmmm, my weight bounced back up to 139.4 this morning. I'm sure it's just because I ate a ton of veggies yesterday, though. The excess weight will, ummm, "pass". lol

I am pushing to get to my pre-holiday weight range of 153-155. So even though I'm excited for what I've lost on JUDDD (over 10 lbs), I probably won't feel like it's "real" until I get to a true new low. I think the lowest I hit on LC -- my 6 month stall -- was 153.1.

I have some luck with coconut oil, but only if the buggers aren't too hungry. I use it as a base and then spray my cloths if I need more protection. Could you spray a light jacket and the back of one of those"safari" hats and let them rest a bit before you put them on?

I also have a net that goes over a hat and cinches up around a collar that I have resorted to on a back country backpacking trip. I don't have any midge experience, they might get through.

Over here we have clothing that says it is mosquito repellent. I have never tried it myself.

Mosquitos can ruin an otherwise grand adventure can't they?
