Right back up thanks to TOM and back to TOM twice every month. Gyn has scheduled a sonogram and thinks I need to have some polyps removed which hopefully will fix this. Trying to find the motivation to keep to my rotations in the meanwhile. Even if I can only lose two weeks out of the month that's something. Just need to keep it together mentally the rest of the time.

It's positively scary how dependable the JUDDD plus low carb combo is for me. While I'm tempted to stay with it longer, I think in three days I'll have to start adding in carbs to make sure I can maintain with carbs for a full week before my trip.

On the other hand my Bod Pod results from Friday were not good: 37% body fat. I've resolved to start strength training, which I've liked a lot in the past. And I'm grateful to this forum for bringing the YAYOG bodyweight approach to my attention. I'll try it since it would solve the logistical problems that make a gym especially difficult right now.

One silly but nice thing--from the scale at the health/fitness office I now know that my scale is about 1.5 pounds high. So whenever I report my weight to someone in real life, I can knock 1.5 pounds off. (Not here, because that would be confusing.)

Water fast went great yesterday - I actually think it's easier than eating 400 calories. I've done 36 hours of total fasting as of now. Doing another DD today with 1000 calories planned in one meal this morning. Then 24 more hours of fasting. Then I'll be back on my right rotation days. It will be interesting to see what the bounce is from my water fast.

I was staying away because I had hit a wall and I was feeling discouraged. The reason I had hit a wall is because my will power faltered and I found myself binging on my favorite low-carb food: cheese. So I stayed the same weight for two-three weeks.

Today I have broken through another plateau and I weighed in at 133.4. I lost FOUR POUNDS overnight! It will probably go up tomorrow, but not back to what it was.

I'm happy. I didn't quite make my April goal, but this is good enough. (Although "The Overfed Head" now has me nervous about weight loss on a restrictive plan--I almost see it as a bad thing now...) In any case, I guess I should make a conscious effort to eat carbs today and for the next few days to make sure my body can handle them. Or, no, using the Overfed Head approach (I can't stand made-up words like "thintuition"), I should now allow myself to eat carbs when I'm hungry for them.

Edited to remove the phrase "intuitive eating"--I like this phrase, I think it gets at what I like about the Overfed Head approach, but I Googled the Intuitive Eating page, and I disagree with at least two of their major principles--they warn against "excessive" hunger (and I know now I can live with that just fine) and they talk about reaching "fullness" (which seems like way too much) rather than Overfed Head's "satisfaction."
