Today marks 8 weeks on JUDDD and I'm down exactly 10 lbs. This feels slow to me, as I am used to the low carb rate, but since I had completely plateaued (sp?) on LC--for months--this feels fast at the same time. Funny. Still not quite at pre-Christmas weight, but very close.

Start Date: 16/04/2014 - just another restart :)
Back into daily weigh-ins after a month of trying to maintain while eating "normally" (whatever that means). I just needed a break, there was too much going on in work and private life. But now I'm back to JUDDD and I'm glad that I've only gained about 2 pounds. (Glad, because my "eating normally" has included some very "normal" feast days... )

So here we go:

04/15 - post UD (1840 cal): 155,5 lb
04/16 - post DD ( 380 cal): 154,3 lb
04/17 - post UD (1750 cal): 155 lb

4/17 123.6 post UD I am feeling like I need to change something up. Not sure what though. I keep my carbs pretty low on UD and DD like between 5-20. I drink tons of water through out the day. Like 100oz sometimes more. I cut out dairy and coffee and stopped having CO. Not sure what else I can do.

April goal: I'm setting this goal as of April 13, so let's say 143.

4/5 151 JUDDD+VLC (very low carb?)

4/11 148.5 JUDDD+VLC

For once I'm not discouraged by my weight going up a little bit. I've decided that the fact that I'm sticking that close to a low like 147 for four days is something to be celebrated.

On the other hand, if I don't see any more loss after two more UD-DD sequences, I may try another week of very-low-carb. I don't want to go straight from a rigorous WOE like that into my trip (May 7), but if I can take off a few more pounds on JUDDD+VLC, and then maintain for a week just on JUDDD before going, why not?

(And of course I know that I have no idea whether or not these WOE choices really explain these weight changes, but they might, and it's fun to pretend they do.)

I seem to keep gaining and losing the same 2 lbs between UDs! It has been slower than I expected this month - I thought that 264lb was my "real" weight and just some temporary water weight from eating carbs got me to 270! I will be travelling now for holidays so eating and posting will be a problem!

Goal for April is 257.

April goal is still uncertain as I don't have new information about the sarcopenia, so this may be subject to change. I would like to lose some of the android fat (lower stomach) and maybe some more visceral fat (tho' as my natural waist is currently 24-25" I'm not sure where that is). I shall attempt to do this without fiddling too much with the macronutrient amounts that keep me migraine free, nor undoing the improvements of the reverse dieting.

I weigh after DDs.


1 April: 116lbs
3 April: 116lbs
5 April: 116.4lbs

7 April: 116.2lbs
10 April: 116.6lbs
12 April: 116.4lbs

14 April: 116.2lbs
16 April: 114.8lbs (new low)

I think the new low is artificial because it reflects some water weight bouncing. My hands have been very badly swollen and stiff after some kayak rescue drills on April 12 so my water levels have been up and down. (My hands will recover but until they do, my keyboard time is limited so I apologise for my absence.)

Patkid, Shari4 and others - you're doing so well. I'm bursting with vicarious pride for you and your perseverance.

July 2014 Life, eh! In March I had a DXA scan which revealed very low muscle mass (sarcopenia) so I'm still thinking about how to cope with that. I may miss questions that people ask me or personals. Apologies if I do, it's not intentional and normal service may resume at some point

It's been a bit of a scary week - even though I'm cool about the JUDDD bounce.
When it kept going back to 137+, I was getting worried - especially as my face was twinned with the full moon this week.

I've had two friends' birthday lunches, hence the MDs rather than DDs, (And I suspect calling them MDs is probably optimistic - I haven't counted cals! )
So I've really been doing "normal" days and "lower" days and somehow it's working - for now.
Birthday lunch number three coming up today .......

I really need to get back under 130 and find an appropriate setpoint there.
