Morning.
Easy DD start with a sinus headache
Anyone else have their sense of taste off when you have sinus problems?

Anyway.
Coffee; tea; maybe broth later, possibly toast if my tummy wants something.

Water, tea, lamb broth. I am doing a longer fast right now, for autophagy, and I am expecting today will be the trickiest. Trying to keep busy with lots of projects around the house.

I am doing 4 days this time. I was doing a 3-4 day fast once per month for a while, and really enjoying them, but fell out of the habit, due to life craziness. Then I started JUDDDing and felt I didn't want to add longer fasts into that mix. But after Thanksgiving I had a long fast (8 or 9 days, can't remember which) and had AMAZING results. Not so much on weight loss, although, I believe I went down around 10 pounds, and only went back up 4 (if I am recalling correctly [too lazy to get up and LOOK!]), but with some past injuries. It sounds almost woo-woo-ish, but in reverse order from the age of the injuries (some skin, one broken bone) I started having tingles at the sites of the injuries. My 'scars' at the skin stuff, visibly diminished. One wart/bump/thing vanished. I really feel that my body was going in and clearing things out.

I would like to do a long one like that again, but I feel that it should probably be a once-a-year thing. And actually, that time between Thanksgiving and Christmas would probably be perfect for my schedule.

I am planning on re-integrating 3- or 4-day fasts into my life. I think those would be good to do maybe once per season. This is my Spring Cleaning one, I guess. I should come up with some other names. Summer Scrub? Autumn Avalanche? Winter Wipe-Up?

I thought this third day would be the trickiest, but I am doing pretty well- no antsyness, or hunger. When I first started fasting, I was amazed at how long it took to get truly hungry. Not, oh-that-brownie-looks-good hungry, but I-need-energy hungry. Our bodies are a lot tougher than we make them be. And since I am relatively fat-adapted, I haven't had any blood sugar swing cravings.

Okay, that turned into a bit of a history. Maybe you can tell this subject interests me.

so so interesting!!! thanks for sharing and feel free to post more on the subject... I havn't read or heard much about fasting like that but it reminds me of some of Nassim Taleb's writing on anti-fragility...
