UD Friday! What's on your plate?

Good morning

B: just coffee w/cream so far
L: tostadas(baked corn tortillas, refried beans, avocado, lettuce tomato)
S: a local Church does a really great fish fry during Lent. Will probably get that. Usually fried fish, cole slaw and green beans. If not, then another fish option somewhere.

B/L: DH wants to go out for lunch. I'm going to have a philly sandwich (on a fresh baked yeast roll), fries, and coffee with half & half and splenda.

D: I'd rather go out for dinner tonight, but since I don't know how many calories are in the lunch, we'll eat at home. I bought a beef enchilada TV dinner yesterday and a Taylor Farms brand BBQ Ranch Chopped Salad, which is really, really good. It's an easy dinner to prepare and the calories are reasonable.

So far just coffee with half and half.

I want to donate blood today, sometime between 11 am and 5 pm. So, I know I have to eat! Just not hungry yet.

B - probably 2 eggs over easy, sourdough toast with butter and a slice of bacon

L - Turkey burger and salad with a big pickle on the side

D - Might be nice to go out for Mexican food. If not, I'm going to make a simple tuna casserole

Had to swap my schedule--had an MD instead of a DD yesterday. I thought I could do another MD today, but restaurants for both lunch and dinner don't make it easy! So, just gonna go with an up day today and DD tomorrow.
So, today has been this:
B: coffee with 1/2 and 1/2 (40)
L: Ethiopian restaurant--veggies, injera, chicken (563)
S: 2 pcs SF candy (160)
S: Animal crackers (230)
D: tostada from restaurant (230)

Adds up to 1222, which gives me some room at second restaurant for another nosh or a beer, if I want it. i wish the whole day was a healthy as the lunch was, but the afternoon has been frankencarby. That spicy food always makes me crave sweets after.

We have a couple of Ethiopian restaurants in town and I've been aching to try them, but haven't had a chance. Maybe I'll see if one's open for lunch tomorrow between Keira's softball games. (depending on whether or not I get the dog washed first!)

I changed up my days too. We had a pot luck luncheon at work today, and it was too much fun not to participate!

B: 1/2 donut, coffee
L: a bit of each - fried chicken, baked beans, cole slaw, quinoa & black bean salad
banana/nilla wafer pudding, chocolate chip cookie
D: turkey meatballs, mashed potatoes, veggies
Coffee

I've proven once again how highly suggestible I am. Keira and I went to the Ethiopian place for dinner. It was decent, but not great. I think it was probably more about the particular restaurant than about the type of food. We enjoyed the enjera (sp?) and a couple of other dishes, but I'd like to try the other place in town to compare. Also, Keira didn't want to order anything spicy the first time out, so I found the food flavorful, but not as interesting as I might have found it with some heat. Oh, and I ordered coffee after because I've always heard how wonderful Ethiopian coffee is. This was weak and not worth it.

Oh, Dawn, so sorry the Ethiopian was less than great. Ours is a buffet at lunch and everything is super fresh. It is very mom-and-pop and homey. For hot drinks, we order ginger tea, which is black tea and raw ginger steeped for a few minutes. Very spicy!
