It's good to read that you're maintaining the smoking cessation and I'm relieved to read that your weight's dropped from it's little uptick. It's a solid achievement not to gain weight during tobacco cessation so for that

Great work, Jacci! I know it must be a little tricky to stop smoking and lose weight at the same time, but you're doing both right now, so I hope you feel very proud of yourself. You're doing healthy things.

Well, I posted in the wrong darn thread yesterday. Thought it was this one. I started - again - last Tuesday (5/27). I've lost 1.5 lbs. since beginning so that's where I'll start. I lost the typical couple of pounds after beginning, but I've been floating between the same couple of numbers as usual, even doing EOD rotations.

5/27: Begin again.

Congrats on the -1.5!! You are doing this!

I'm back to my -16 since I restarted on January 1st of this year. I got side tracked after my D.C./PA trip where I gained 4 pounds. I was not motivated to do more than 2 DDs per week since then and that didn't get it off.

But last week I started combining LC with JUDDD rotations and boom! it came off. So, now I feel motivated and feel like I'm on my way again.

I feel like my body is in weight loss mode. Now I just have to keep it there!

Let's do this together!

Hey, Yam ,

I've been doing okay with my EOD rotations and as of Saturday have lost a total of 3.5 lbs. Not bad, roughly a pound/week. But, I've fallen face first into carbs again. I have a mini-vacation coming up and after that, I need to get back to combining LC with JUDDD - or try Atkins '72 again and give it a harder go this time. I can see the difference the carbs are making in my body - none of it positive, of course.

Good job on getting in WLM again!!

5/27: Begin again.
6/03: -1.5

Hey 'Nilla! Good job on -3.5!! Losing a pound a week is great!

I just got back from my birthday week in Maui. Wow! It was awesome. Silly me. I brought along my protein powder thinking I would seriously have a couple of DDs. Never even touched the stuff!

No regrets. I had the most awesome time.

Weighed the morning after we got home and I had bounced up 6 pounds which only motivated me to have an awesome DD which I actually thoroughly enjoyed.

Next morning, bam! The scale went down 5 pounds in one day! I'm so happy and content about that. And, I'm running around (well not running!) singing "Juddd is forgiving!"

I'm telling you I ate and drank whatever I wanted and didn't worry about it. Just kept telling myself I would have plenty of time to deal with it when I came back home.

I'm so glad I did that. Now I'm motivated to get back into rotations. I'm going to focus on lean protein and lots of it. On UDs I'll add in lots of veggies and some fruit and the occasional splurge on decadent carbs.

I have not wanted the pressure of setting hard goals, but I'm feeling confident that I can at least say or think that I might like to lose 10 more pounds by the end of July. Maybe, sorta, kinda, in a way, perhaps....

Does that sound firm and confident enough?

As of right now I have a blank calendar for July. This coming weekend I am flying to southern CA to spend 3 days with my son's family. Can't wait to squeeze and love up my little grand sons. I'm sure there will be unplanned eating and drinking, but this is only Monday and so I have four full days to be really on plan 'til then.

After that, it's all systems go.

So, I'm now at -15 (actually -15.4) since my re-start in January. I know that's slow going for some, but for me and you it's pretty good.

Just think. If we could lose 16 pounds every six months, that would be -30 per year. We would be on a roll!

Let's keep encouraging each other, k?

Hi Krissy!

So great to meet another JUDDDer!!!

Happy belated birthday.

I got to celebrate my June 12th birthday with a great gift from DH. A whole week in Maui. It's the first time in my life I have had a week long birthday celebration. DH said "Happy Birthday!" about 5 times every day and surprised me with something wonderful every day.

I'm glad you had cake and steak on your day. JUDDD is about making holidays and celebrations UDs.

IF is a great way to live. So many benefits.

Glad you found us, Girl! Have fun JUDDDing!

Thanks, Yam, it is great and I'm happy with it. Or was, until a vacay. You know me - I went on the "diet debate" in my head again. BUT, not because I wasn't losing fast enough or anything like that. I'd settled quite happily - once again - on JUDDD. Even promised my ever-lovin' supportive DH that I'd do it for six months (stop laughing ) and I was going to. But, I dived face first into carbs, something I'd swore I'd never do again. I've stayed away from posting, or even visiting, LCF much because I know how I get when I see the pounds falling off others.

I'm going to get back to something else - big surprise, right, that'll keep me away from the carbs. But, I'll be rooting for you from the sidelines when I pop in. You're doing wonderfully and like they say, "you've got this!"

Another 2 pounds off this week!!! YAY!

Ok, as a recap, I am doing 500 DD and UD 2000.

I tried to modify it all down (350/1700) but just couldn't manage the super low DDs, so stuck with the 500. With the best intentions I aimed for 1700 but I didn't really stay there.

On my UD, I wasn't super strict, and I went over by 200 on two of my UD's which I worried about all week. But, I still lost.

Exercise: 2 days of walking - 1 hour and 4 hours, 1 interval training, 1 yoga, and 1 resistance training.

I'm off on holiday today, and while I am planning to carry on JUDDDing during my holiday, I might have the odd day where I go over. We shall see!
