Your avi is beautiful! Love the lipstick.
It's a bright coral and something else mixed. I should've asked the make up artist. I think I'm gonna be on the search for a similar color for the spring! I really love it. Okay, shoot, I really need to go clean! LOL!

Thanks. We tried to take one in the living room but it was way too dark. I didn't think about the clutter until afterward lol.

BB, love love the lipstick shade. You are quite stunning!

Also, just a quirky part of my day--- I was just getting my run in on the treadmill while the tiny tot napped and my underwear (the convo about this the other day on here really sheds new light on that word!) kept sliding down! Inconvenient, yes... but made me smile no less! Loving that clothes, underwear included, are becoming much looser!

(I would insert a smiley of some sort, but for some reason I can hardly ever get them to work)

I just got caught up. Lots of LOL with bloomers, knickers, etc...
Love the avi BB and Melinda.

Cindy you look amazing in that photo! I have to say I'm shocked to hear that you have a 91 yr old mother, too!

Relaxing now and then off to gym. I have a session with the trainer. I'm feeling remarkably better (less pain.) I don't mind the muscle soreness type of discomfort. I rather like that since I know I worked hard, but joint pain and nerve pain are not my favorite.

Cindy, you look really good! I’m pleased your weight has started dropping again, but don’t less stressing about it stop you enjoying yourself now!

I just realised that I weigh less than I have for years, I’m planning on having stew with dumplings, made with real suet and flour, for dinner, without any worry or guilt! This is pretty good . I weighed this much briefly in 2006 and before that, probably not since about 1990. Without really meaning to, I’ve dropped a couple of pounds below my usual maintenance weight when I was on LC.

Sounds like a great plan for dinner, Ailuros. I weigh less than I have since about 2003. I am enjoying myself right now, but will not mind if I lose 40 more lbs.

Thanks Carly! I'm glad you're not in pain anymore, and already back to the gym. Enjoy yourself today.

Happy Saturday everyone!

Getting ready to head out to an engagement party in a little while. I'm working on two hours of sleep right now. Last night was the Justin Timberlake concert. Had a blast but ended up going dancing in the city after and then had to be at clinic this morning at 9AM. I kind of miss the days of undergrad when I could manage my life on six hours of sleep for the week. Oh have times have changed.

Ugh, she groans.... I worked out with the trainer for 35 minutes and my back is screaming

He worked me like a dog. I was drenched in sweat and my face was bright red when I went into the locker room

I really like him and he really motivates me, but I'm not 25 anymore and I think I need to tell him we have to go slower. (I hate to admit this.)

Thank you all for the sweet words! I do love that lip color. I should've asked the makeup artist exactly what brand. I am on a mission to find a similar coral color for the spring...which it DID feel like today in the Big Apple! 55 DEGREES OUT! I wore my hoodie! People were out and about everywhere, parks were full, people were eating at the sidewalk cafes...ah...love it! Funny if I were still in LA 55 would seem "cold" to me! LOL! I wish I could've enjoyed it more, was in the theatre most of the day but when we'd get our meal breaks, me and a few of my cohorts were OUTSIDE ENJOYING THE WEATHER! PS. It's supposed to snow again on Tues or Wed or both. Wahhhh!

I would imagine.

Ours go outside at night and don't shed during the winter. However, they make up for it by shedding like mad from late Feb to early November. It amazing how you can brush a giant pile of hair out one day and turn around and get the same amount or more the next, day after day, and they don't go bald. I'm pretty sure they spontaneously regenerate their fur.

One of our short hair cats is like that. I always say we can make a spare cat out of the fur we brush off of him. The next day you get the same amount... I don't get it

Ours are both shorthairs. It's amazing the pile of hair you can get. Fortunately, they are fairly tolerant of the brushing

Here is something to make all of you East Coasters jealous: It was 71 degree and I walked in shorts and tee shirt! Absolutely gorgeously sunny day with nice cool breeze, would you believe it I had to plan my walk in such a way that the sun was behind me and I had to seek shade wherever i could find! That said, I hear the cooler weather and rain is coming our way toward the end of week. Amen! We need the rain!

Just as long as it stays out of Anaheim! I already got out my capris and shorts, and short sleeve tops. I'm going to enjoy 4 days where the heaviest thing I need to wear is, possibly, a light hoodie.

Snowed overnight and through late morning. Then turned to rain, and started snowing again just in time to move one of the horses to her, um, vacation home. Luckily it was close by and the snow had just started, so nothing was sticking to the roads and there was no ice. It should stop and warm up again before Tuesday when I have to move the rest of the horses. I can't find a farm sitter I trust, so there is a (temporary) horse dispersal occurring, the dogs and cat will go to the clinic and the only thing someone needs to do here is stop by every 3 days to refill the feeder for the steers and check on the chickens. These are animals that can survive if they're not looked at daily - my horses can not. Spoiled beasts!

Wow, Yennie, I never thought about that part of the farm life! We just up chuck and leave, and only worry about "green" trash can! You don't have any family living near you guys? I was born and brought up in an agricultural village but the joint family was so large that someone was always at home! We didn't have the horses, just water buffaloes and a dog!

Anaheim is always warm but you never know, weather has been really weird this year. I talk to my sister everyday on the phone, she lives in your nick of the woods, and she was telling me it was snowing there! It seems to be always cold and wet but so lovely and lush green! I have visited her few times but only during the summer. I had enough of the wet & cold in England!

I thought it was hard to get a cat sitter for 5 cats- 3 of which are insulin dependent. I never thought about a farm sitter

Our other issue is the teeny, tiny, apartment building mailbox has to be emptied every 2-3 days max. Otherwise the mailman gets an attitude. Every time we give the cat sitter a copy of the mailbox key we never get it back and she always asks for another mailbox key ever time we go away.

And now I'm officially freaking out. We have 9" of snow, and its still coming down. Which I realize, as a former mid-westerner, is not the end of the world but when you're in the PNW and there is ZERO infrastructure to deal with this amount of snowfall...I accomplished approximately nothing on my To-Do list today. I have to work tomorrow (if I can get there), move horses Tuesday morning and then head to the airport. YIKES! I guess I better eat my (figurative) Wheaties tomorrow to be able to cram 2 days worth into 1 day! Cue panic in 3...2...1...

Catching up after some time away is a BEAR!

Mike, my condolences on your grandmother's death. I'm glad it was peaceful with all of you there. That's a real blessing.

Goner and LoCarbGal- so great that y'all got to get together. I love the basket.

I probably won't ever catch up! I started reading so I could "catch up" before posting, but it ain't gonna happen.

We got back yesterday after having a fantastic vacation in southern California. I got to see ALL my kids and ALL my grand kids in one weekend which hardly ever happens because my son and his family live in southern CA and the rest of us live in northern CA.

In Palm Springs we hooked up with some of DH's family from Minneapolis and Wisconsin, plus one of our teenage grand daughters spent the whole week with us.

Ever hear the saying "I need a vacation from my vacation?" That's me today. I don't know where to start on anything. Mountains of laundry, a much needed trip to the grocery store - uggh. A DD? UD? Bleahhhhh.

As I said when I popped in, I fell away from rotations after about the second or third day. I did weigh this morning and have gained 2 pounds which I guess is not too bad considering we ate out at some great restaurants almost every day and I snacked a lot!

I should have a DD today, I know it. But I just don't want to. Maybe tomorrow.

Glad to be back and I will just ease into catching up here, there and everywhere!

I agree about the great AVI and good looking photos!

Sirtain and Yam-Yam, nice to have you guys back on the board again. Yam, I'm so happy that you had such a great time with the family. I love Palm Springs, especially the tramway up and then going for the Date shakes! Unpacking, laundry and the mail is the worst part of coming back. I can never do a DD right after Vac, it always takes me couple of days to get into the routine.

Woke up feeling out of sorts, I have no idea why! Weather is lovely and I'm home. I think this "not seeing much progress" on the wgt front is probably bothering me a little. Read all about Fat Fast yesterday but I'm going to try and stick to the rotation numbers rigidly first and see what happens before I go the fat fast route. So today is another DD I'm just hoping I can stick to the numbers!

Thanks, Jdforshort. It feels good to be back.

Yam-Yam, I'm heading to Palm Springs in a couple of weeks! (Meeting my sister and some high school friends.) I'm going to be taking the bus, so I have planned a Down Day before, and after, and am planning on having a great set of Up Days while I am there.
