Sounds like you've seen your doc recently, since you mention starting new BP meds? I'm so sorry you're struggling right now. All these TOM issues can't be helping, either. Keep the faith, you will figure it out!!

TMI gut issues. After the over-cooked HB eggs debacle, I unwisely decided to experiment with my FODMAPs tolerance towards the end of the week. JD, we LOVE roller coasters. Keira's finally to the point where she's starting to love them too, so this will be her first time to Six Flags. Last time we were there, DH was also too big for some of the rides, so he's excited that he can ride anything this time.

Today is my grandmother's funeral, so there will be a get together and feasting afterwards. I will be trying to keep it healthy, but I won't really be tracking every bite so who knows what the total will be.

I'm also thinking about upping my carbs above NK levels. I was looking back at my earlier JUDDD success and my carbs on DD's ended up anywhere between 20 and 60g and on UD's they ranged from 80-300g. I want to find a range that allows me to do well in the gym, and does not add body fat and continues to allow me to lean out. I'll ease back into it and then in March I'll probably aim for under 50g on rest days and under 150g on workout days, and plan for the carbs post workout.
Ditto what I said to Dawn above. SO wonderful you can ride with your daughter this spring! Well...maybe. I will hold out hope for you on the nausea thing. I hate coasters...that stomach drop thing? Not my fav!

So sorry to hear about your grandmother's passing, too.

I'm making a conscious effort to eat all my calories on UDs (which I really haven't done so much in the past). Most of my DDs have been over 500 (often close to 600). I haven't been making my protein goal on DDs (usually between 40-50), but on UDs, have often been making 90. I am finding myself maintaining this way.

Thanks to all that remarked on my baffling gains this month, and the encouragement.

I am under the care of a new dr yes, and first time on BP meds started yday. The constant TOM I believe is the result of coming off of depo shot in dec. so all this is just a ridiculous water gain while in transition of those two areas of my health. Not to mention the stress level in my world is off the charts right now. I had also a higher than normal carb day on an UD yday. So that may be playing a part also.

So...! Today, will be a dd adventure lol.

I will not quit. I will succeed. Thanks again for the kind words and encouragement

Damn. It's most likely water retention from the BP meds. I wouldn't pay too much mind to any weight gain until your body has a chance to adjust. I'll bet that if you just keep doing what you've been doing you're going to have the whoosh of all whooshes.

Thank you Melinda and yes, I just figured out the other day after reading Yennie's update about how hungry she feels after the 1/2 marathon! I never thought of that before, probably because I walk instead of running Now that I'm more aware, hopefully I can plan better and just reconcile that my DDs are not going to be that low and just keep tabs on UDs!

Did a mini fat fast yesterday because I felt like my metabolism eas getting sluggish. I had never done a fat fast of any kind so this was new for me.

It seems to have worked! I ate far, far more calories than I usually do, but it was all fat, and I am seeing results. But eating all that fat made me feel nauseous and I am not sure I want to do it three days in a row. Bleah. Still, I think three days will net me better results; maybe I can get deeper into ketosis if I stick with it for three days... hmmm... still deciding...
