I spent a lot of time contemplating if I was going to weigh daily. I tend to be obsessive about the scale but I think that knowing how JUDDD works this might be an opportunity for me to learn to accept daily variations.

That was weird. I went to Panera with a friend on my DD. Had a cup of coffee w/ cream. Ate an orange scone of all things - do you know those things cost 550 calories!?!
Came home felt all shaky - fuzz headed even. Checked my blood sugar, and it was 65...
Not sure why that scone gave me such a crash, but I had to eat a bowl of vegetable beef soup at that point to get out of the funk. So much for my DD.
(I just happen to have a blood glucose monitor - Never used it before. I've never had issues with blood sugar other than getting shaky. But it was never this bad, so I checked it.)

Are you measuring? You're doing a lot of dance and exercise classes so I'm wondering if you've enough rest time to clear the inflammation that might be masking your water level or weight shifts?

I'm pleased for you. If you do find that the scale bounce is influencing your mood then please consider switching to post DD weigh-ins or weekly weigh-ins. Good start.

Hmm. Congratulations on the maintained new lows and moving so strongly towards your goal weight.

The quasi-hypoglycaemic episode sounds horribly unpleasant. It sounds like the scone possibly pushed up your levels enough that when the insulin cleared it so efficiently, it felt like a substantial drop? You'll continue to monitor how you feel and take appropriate advice from your HCP if you experience this again?

Dec 2014 A DXA scan reported very low muscle mass (sarcopenia) so I'm still thinking about how to cope with that. I have some joint surgery to schedule. I may miss questions that people ask me or personals. Apologies if I do, it's not intentional.

I'll try measuring when I get home tonight. Maybe that's part of it but I also was having more than a few UAUD's during my first 2 weeks as well as a stretch of MD's and UD's 2/13-2/16. Oh, and I switched from VLC to JUDDD with no carb restriciton.

CelticFan and what a nice start If I may, you didn't fail the DD. You're in induction, so you have the option of a 500kcal day if needed. You were a little outside that, but this period is about getting used to rotations. As for the actual # of kcals, a favourite post around here is: I believe I had an epiphany which is a very helpful discussion of how much flexibility we have, if necessary with DDs once induction is complete.

Feb 18 - 160 DD - turned into another UD - 1759 - strange same calories as yesterday, I didn't count them till I was done eating for the day - failed to plan, so plan failed!

I hear you JD - I am struggling as well, my DDs have all but disappeared. I only had 3 so far this month. I will have to see what today brings - hopefully a low DD before my JUDDD magic disappears.
