Fast5 woe

OK I've been doing the fast5 woe for a weekish.
Wt wise I'm Pretty much hanging around the same weight. But my clothes are getting a little more Baggie- a good thing!
My underwear's are too baggy, poor me right
I like this way of eating due to getting to eat a regular meal each night.
Everyday is dd until evening. So I broth it until 3 pm and then I say I'm home free and have a little something. The first few days we hard due to my silly try at two dd's in a roll before starting the leap to fast 5.
I'm having trouble with wheat foods. Bubbles and squeaks to annoying.
So giving my lovely HM chicken and dumplings to the chickens.
I must.
Summary of my babbling.
I'm clicking in 1,300-1,500 cals a day- evening.
Holding my wt. Buy losing blubber.
that happens My book says. For three weeks this is normal.
I find this woe nice.
Especially social wise.
So I'm still Juddding everyday, just with a twist!
Congrats to all the new Juddders at losing wt. Don't give up it takes time
Terri

Sounds like that is working great for you right now, Terri! It's good to switch things around sometimes. I think it keeps the old body guessing. And if you are evacuating some fat, that's a real bonus! Now, go buy some new undies!

That's great terri. I've kinda tweaked my version of Juddd to limiting some of the carbs. Never really paid any attention really but now I try to limit it to 1 per day. On UD'S I would have carbs every meal. I have discovered that I think they like me. . Anyway wish you all the best with this woe.

Good for you! I have tried and liked Fast 5, so I might do it again.

I quit because it turns out that if I'm under a lot of stress, my emotions get way out of control if I'm not eating. I was doing well with it until my mom got sick this fall. Fast 5 = so much more crying .

So look out for that . And keep on doing what works!

A former co-worker was recently telling me he's having success on The 8 Hour Diet. That diet is where you basically fast all day with an 8 hour eating window. I think it's just more proof that I.F. is a good way to lose weight. You just gotta find what works for you!

8 Hour, Fast 5, 5:2, Alternate Day Fasting, so many options...I know some people take their eating window down to an hour or two or three.......

IF rocks in so many different patterns that we can each find the WOL that best supports our personal metabolic and social needs. Ain't life grand?

Happy Dance for Terri!!1

I've mentioned before that I did Fast 5 before and didn't really have much luck with it. My stomach definitely doesn't appreciate cramming a day's worth of food into it in five hours. I do use the idea, though, when I travel to help limit calories (when full day fasting isn't feasible).

I like all the IF options! I am still amazed at how well this works for keeping the calories & weight down and living a fun life! (By fun I mean one with good food)

Frost, I don't think I read the fast 5 book right...
I didn't see where I'm suppose to eat the whole 5 hours yikes
I think it's pick a time and be done with food. REALLY!
It's not open the refrigerate door and pull up a chair.
But I could be wrong......not
I'm doing well woe, it is better than thinking I can eat two or three meals a day.
I can't.
Today I took my f n law to have his yearly VA health check up. It was a all morning dr. Appt. 5 different apt times..Which he was fasting for blood work..We got there at 7:30am. I new he would want me to eat something with him for his breakfast. The cafeteria had everything brkfts. I ate oatmeal, two pieces of wheat toast. I was scared it would through me to the wolfs!! But it didn't I haven't craved anything today since my feast this am meal.
F n law know's how I eat JUDDD. i've done great it's 4pm back home and sorta could eat but will wait until 7 pm I hope. I don't want to hear the wolfs
Yes so many different IF ways of eating.
Hoping in the 5 hour window is enough time routinely for me.
Just skipping brkfts is a IF woe in its self.
Throwing in skipping lunch as well is another woe.
Dh can't get use to me eating regularly meals each night! I'm very use to it already! I like
It's not will power DAWN honest.
Terri

I didn't mean it like that. I lose weight at 1700 - 1800 calories a day and it tough for me to eat that much food in five hours (I've had stomach problems my whole life). If I eat one meal at the start of five hours and then try to eat another large meal less than four hours later (it's not like I hoover a meal down in five seconds), it just doesn't set well.

I sure wasn't criticizing your plan; just saying it didn't work for me. I did better with the eight hour eating window but then there wasn't really any built in calorie restriction.

No offense taken Frosty....I understood u. I was teasing really.
U did make me open the book again to reread some.
They really didn't say any amount of calories we should have in the time window one chooses.
It takes practice at pushing back the break fast to the window of time u want.
Practice for a reason. Doing JUDDD having that woe under ones belt is a perfect fit for fast5-8-etc.
It's says in two or 3 weeks our stomach, and brain will adjust to fewer calories due to stomach shrinking, brain adjusting to less food, less time spent processing our food.
Also most people do as u said try to cram too much food at once... People will get over that they feeling with our barons help. To not worry. In time pushing back the window of eating time we will cut 500 calories of our calorie intake. That's the only mention of calories In the book that I have found.
So it's what our body's need, not what the paramid graft or scale tells us.
We will end up weighing what we should.
My mind reads it as , it's not a number of the scale it's just healthy weight.
Terri
