I know about weight fluctuations, but if I weigh only once a week, how should I know whether the result on this specific day isn't the untypic result caused by such a fluctuation (up or down)? That's why I weigh everyday and compare the averages of the weeks.

Thank you Sharon. All my own work.

Daily weighing is a lifetime habit for me. And, doing JUDDD, I know it it can be very disheartening to see only one number a week, not always your best number.

I post on a Friday weigh in thread in the Maintenance thread and I am often cross to have to post a weight a couple of pound higher that another day during the week.

Each to their own.

As per Dawn. And it's a bit different in maintenance as the standard advice is to monitor your weight daily and then take immediate action to rectify matters if you move outside your range.

I used daily weighing in WLM more (as Dawn says) to monitor reaction to particular foods, migraines, exercise levels etc.
