Inquiring about diet drinks and cravings or stales

I've giving up diet drinks for 6months-year with a thought
Then out of the blue I have a glass and then I'm hooked and the addition of 2lt bottle last me two days. Just weird.
Diet coke had be under its spell again.
I love water and drink lots of it... Anyone one get caught like this?
I don't notice weight change up or down so that not a problem.

I drink a fair amount of Diet Pepsi. I've tried dieting with and without it and it's never made the slightest difference either way.

ohhh yess . Diet coke is sooo addicting -- definitely never stalled me regarding weight loss. And I remember it actually used to curb my sweet cravings.

Although the chemicals and bloating made me stop . I had horrible tummy issues.

Pros and cons ...everybody is different

I can get carried away with diet soda. I took a break on the first of the year till 1/11/14, but have not started back with it so will go a little longer.

Coffee on the other hand- I can't seem to give up for a day now.

Diet Dr. Pepper for me. Used to be regular, sugary Dr. Pepper. I LOVE that stuff! It's my crack. Haven't had a regular one in at least 2 years.

About a year ago, I just stopped drinking the diet. I have no idea why. It just didn't "call" me anymore. I was drinking tons of iced tea instead. Then around the holidays I started drinking them again. Two or three a day. I don't want to get back into that habit again, so I stopped cold turkey at the first of the year. I still have a couple of 12-packs on hand, so I'll use them as a treat. Maybe one per week or so.

I have had the feeling that they do contribute to my stalls, but have no way of knowing that for sure. I sweeten my iced tea with liquid sucralose, but that is different than the sweetener in most diet sodas, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

I have never been a fizzy drink drinker. Love water. Addicted to coffee. Adore tea (I read the 'tea' thread for ideas and just pure pleasure).

I remember back in the pre-JUDDD days, artificial sweeteners tasted good, but did seem to cause stalls and tummy issues.

I am a COKE ZERO person! I have 2 - 3 glasses a day. I also drink over a gallon of water a day (some with crystal light, some just plain). I have no desire to stop. I have before, but right now, I have no reason that draws me to stop drinking it.

I enjoy zero calorie soft drinks. Usually sprite, sometimes coke. They don't seem to be addictive for me so I always keep them around just because sometimes they sound good.

I have not noticed any difference in losing faster or slower when I drink/don't drink them.

Water is my main drink. Coffee is good in the mornings and tea in the afternoons sometimes. And in the evenings, I like to squeeze lemon in my water whether it's hot or cold.

coffee all morning for me, then a diet coke (or two) in the afternoons, if need be. I can't drink plain water, unfortunately (gives me horrible nausea and/or heartburn). Same with my beloved unsweetened iced tea...nausea/heartburn. {sigh} If diet soda caused stalls for me, I'd have never lost any weight. LOL!
