Grit: The Key to Success

JBs,

A teacher/researcher identified the key to success (in all areas) ... this short, 6 minute talk applies to us in our weight loss journey, too. I especially love the part about what you learn from failure, and the marathon. What do you get out of this?

I really love this. I think it is absolutely true, but I need to be reminded of it often. It's not always the smartest or most talented that make their goals happen It's often the most determined.

I also love her message as it related to education and kids. Showing kids that didn't do well on something that it's not permanent and doesn't mean they are stupid could be so important.

Great message - thanks for that Christina!

I really enjoyed this and agree that determination will take us further in life than a specific talent or strength.

My prayer is often: Let me remain teachable and never let me think I'm a finished product.

:goodpost:This is just great, Christina! We have been seeing this in our kids all around, friends often discuss it as we have geniuses and sloggers! "The Hare & the tortoise" - what wise person that must have been who first wrote this! I'm going to remind myself of this when I feel frustrated at the progress or lack there of!

Wow love this!

As a high school teacher, I definitely understand and see what she is saying -- love the connection to weight loss!
